Can I get a ... MetroCard?

For the final show of his week-long run at Brooklyn's new Barclays Center, Jay-Z arrived at the venue the same way as the majority of his fans – via the subway.

The rapper, 42, hopped on the R train at Canal Street Saturday evening, surprising straphangers and chatting with an older woman during the ride to Atlantic Avenue.

Jay-Z was accompanied by plainclothes police officers, as well as his own security, an onlooker tells New York's Daily News .

Once onstage, the rapper made the most of his last night, bringing his wife of four years, Beyoncé, out to share the spotlight.

Shouting out close pal Gwyneth Paltrow, who was in town celebrating her recent 40th birthday, the new parents performed their hit "Crazy In Love", as well as "Young Forever". After leading a sing-along to the final song, Jay-Z and Beyoncé exchanged a hug and kiss before leaving the stage.
