Police were called to Lohan's childhood home in Mineola, N.Y. on Wednesday morning after the actress was involved in an altercation with her mother, Dina, the Associated Press reports.
Police arrived to the family's home – where Dina lives with her other children – around 8 a.m. but an investigation revealed "no criminality."
It is unclear what the dispute was about. The Nassau County Police Department did not release any other details.
Lohan, 26, who plays Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime movie Liz and Dick, recently said she identifies with the late actress and the struggles of celebrity.
"I relate to her on a lot of levels," Lohan said. "Living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it's true or not."
