Scene of children's stabbing
The boys, 6 and 2, were discovered bleeding in a bathtub when their mother came home with her 3-year-old, according to WABC-TV.
The nanny was on the bathroom floor with self-inflicted wounds to her neck, according to reports. She and the boys were rushed to the hospital, where the children were pronounced dead and the woman was in critical condition.
According to reports, she was arrested in the boys' deaths.
According to the New York Times , police said two other people were also found stabbed inside the La Rochelle apartment, where a neighbor reported hearing screams just around the time the mom came home.
"It's a chaotic scene," a fire official tells the Times.
No other information about the nanny or the family has yet been released.
