Dancing with the Stars Elimination Night Results: Did Andy Dick Survive?

Kym Johnson and Ingo Rademacher

Week after week of consistently low scores haven't spelled the end of the road for Dancing with the Stars competitors Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess. But is their time finally up?

The actor and his pro partner scored just 17 points for their rumba on Monday night's all-Latin show, putting them at the bottom of the leader board below soap star Ingo Rademacher and his partner, Kym Johnson. Burgess even spoke out in anger against the judges for their harsh critiques.

But their fans have saved Team Dick before. Did they do it again? Read on to find out who was sent home on Tuesday's elimination show ...

The three couples in jeopardy were Ingo and Kym, Andy and Sharna and Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff, who earned 27 points for a salsa judge Len Goodman called "first rate."

Len was right – Jacoby and Karina were declared safe. The couple leaving the competition are Andy and Sharna.

"It's been the best," Andy said through tears. "The fact that we're here on week seven is amazing."

Though he was emotional and acknowledged that his stint on DWTS has been very meaningful in his recovery from addiction, Andy still cracked a joke, teasing Carrie Ann Inaba for giving him a score of five points on Monday.

And his partner was also grateful for the experience: "I couldn't have a had a better first season as a pro," she said.

Dancing with the Stars: Andy Dick's Partner Sharna Burgess Is Angry at Judges

Andy Dick and his pro partner Sharna Burgess felt a little Dancing déjà vu on Monday, when the judges once again gave them a harsh critique.

"I'm angry, because, for example, Bruno – he stands up every week and says something mean to be funny," Burgess, 27, told PEOPLE backstage after Monday night's show. "You're here to be a judge, to tell us how to be better."

Burgess does commend judge Carrie Ann Inaba for her feedback.

"As far as her giving us a five, yeah, that sucked, but she had constructive criticism at least," Burgess said. "And if she put so much importance on those dead arms, then trust me, we won't have any next week."

She adds, "I hate seeing Andy be berated week to week for things that aren't dance related."

Burgess wouldn't be surprised if she and Dick, 47, are the couple sent home during Tuesday night's elimination.

"It's tough," she said. "We were in the bottom two last week. Sean was, but Sean just did a great rumba. He got all eights. He did fantastic. It was a beautiful routine by Peta, so who knows? Maybe it wasn't enough for us to get through. I really hope it is because I know Andy has more left in him."

But Dick is hopeful they continue in the competition.

"Next week, with what she has planned, we could get eights or maybe a nine or something," he told reporters. "I swear we can squeeze a 10 out of the judges if we get freestyle."

Bethenny Frankel Divorcing Jason Hoppy - She's Surprised It's Not Amicable

Jackson Lee/Splash News Online

While Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy aren't scheduled to return to divorce court for a few more weeks, the reality-star-turned-talk-show-host has been giving a lot of thought to how far apart she and her ex have drifted.

At the time of the split, Frankel released a statement in which she said that she and Hoppy hoped to "amicably co-parent" their daughter Bryn, who turns 3 next month.

Now, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Frankel says she can see that's going to be a challenge.

"I really did think it would be amicable. I absolutely did," she says. "I wrote that entire statement myself. And every single word, I believed to be true."

Now, faced with divorce negotiations that continue to drag on – while Hoppy continues to wear his wedding ring – Frankel is left to wonder how she could have been so off the mark.

"Someone said to me recently, 'We see what we want to see.' And I guess, at the time, that's what I did," she says.

Still, the Skinnygirl guru hasn't stopped looking for the positive.

"The truth of the matter is, you go with your gut at the time," she says. "Whatever I'm going through now, I'm certain that I'll learn something from it. When the clouds pass, I will figure out what the silver lining was."

Murder of Leila Fowler, 8, Stuns Small Town in California

True Crime

04/30/2013 at 07:00 PM EDT

The stabbing of an 8-year-old girl in her home in Valley Springs, Calif., has residents of the small town loading their guns and keeping their kids home from school as police – who have few clues – search for the killer in hilly, remote terrain.

Police say Leila Fowler's 12-year-old brother, who was home with his sister on Saturday, spotted an intruder, who ran out of the house. The boy then discovered his sister severely injured and phoned his parents, who were at a Little League game. The girl was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The county coroner says she died from multiple stab wounds.

Friends say the third-grader had a heart-warming smile, loved the color purple and was a daddy's girl. Fowler's slaying has devastated the 10-square mile community of about 3,500 in Calaveras County, where residents typically keep their doors and windows open and the biggest newsmaker most years is the jumping frog contest written about by Mark Twain in 1865.

Now, residents say, their guns are loaded.

"This is way too close to home," Julia Poland, who has a 13-year-old daughter, told The Modesto Bee". "This kind of thing does not happen here."

So far, police seem to have few leads.

The brother described a muscular white or Hispanic man in a black shirt and blue pants, about 6 feet tall, with long, gray hair. Another witness who saw a man running from the home offered a similar description.

Police, with help from dogs and volunteers, have searched houses, attics, crawl spaces, sheds, outbuildings and tall grass. Investigators also lifted fingerprints and DNA from the house (lab results should take about a week), and checked with local registered sex offenders and parolees.

A candlelight vigil was planned for Tuesday evening at Leila's school, Jenny Lind Elementary.

Sheriff's Capt. Jim Macedo says Leila's parents, Barney Fowler and Krystal Walters (who stood behind him at a press conference but were too distraught to speak) ask that anyone with a tip call (209) 754-6030.

The Little Couple's Bill Klein: Five Fatherhood Life Lessons

The Little Couple's Bill Klein Shares Fatherhood Lessons

TLC (2)

It's been a few weeks since Bill Klein and Dr. Jennifer Arnold of TLC's The Little Couple became parents and adopted son Will, but already, the new dad is learning tricks of the fatherhood trade.

Before the new season of his show premieres Tuesday night (10 p.m. ET on TLC), Klein shared with PEOPLE some of the lessons he's learned so far:

1. Dads Can Do Diapers

"I hated changing diapers at first until I got good at it," says Klein, who jokes that at first his job was to "hold Will's legs and gag." But now that his confidence has grown, and he explains: "It took Jennifer not being around to do it to teach me I could do this. I don't know if I could fly a plane if the pilot wasn't around, but I can change Will's diaper on my own."

2. Safety Gates Are Great

"When Will was in foster care, he was in a crib and he rolled everywhere," Klein says. "Now that he has his own bed, we learned quickly that a safety gate on his bed keeps him in so he won't roll out."

3. Lunch with a Side of Heimlich?

When Klein took Will out for his first "guys-only" lunch, he says that he expected that the grilled cheese sandwich he'd selected for his son to be very kid-friendly. Until it turned out the cheese was too stringy.

"I cut it up in quarters, but it must have been too rubbery because he started choking," says Klein. "My fingers were in his mouth before I knew it, getting the piece out. Mom would have done it better, without so much flavor of fingernail I'm sure, but he was OK. We were OK."

4. Grandparent Nicknames Can Be Tricky

"All the grandparents are settling in on their names and some haven't gotten back to me," says Klein. "Jen's dad is pushing El Guapo (Spanish for 'The Handsome One') but I'm not sure that's going to fly."

So far, other names that are being considered are: Pop Pop for Klein's dad, Grammy and Grandma.

5. Make 'Em Laugh

Klein says that while Will loves meal times and play time, nap time can be a challenge. Humor helps.

"Even if Will's miserable, you can make him laugh and then he'll forget why he was sad," Klein says. "Getting him into the bed is the trick, but once he's in there, I'll make him laugh with a face or a tickle and he's happy again."

Is Splash Too Dangerous? The Experts Dive In

It's one thing when a celebrity gets hurt training for the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars . But as fans of this spring's TV diving competition Splash have learned, when you put a star up on a springboard or platform, the danger level soars.

Or does it?

PEOPLE.com readers have expressed concern that the ABC reality competition poses a real threat to its participants – that the show may simply be too dangerous.

After all, Rory Bushfield ruptured an eardrum in a botched entry, Katherine Webb could no longer compete after an injury and Nicole Eggert was left bruised and swollen from a dive.

And when Kendra Wilkinson stepped down from the competition, she spoke up about her perception of the perils of the sport. "Every morning I would wake up and be shaking," she told PEOPLE earlier this month. "It's a really risky show. I related jumping off the high board into the water to jumping to my death. That's how big of a deal it was. To me, it really meant risking my life."

So we decided to do some investigating.

"Every sport has its hazards, but diving requires many skill sets in order to become proficient. This poses a tremendous challenge," legendary diver and Splash coach Greg Louganis tells PEOPLE of the risks that celebrities take competing on the show. A statement from Splash production company Eyeworks USA says that safety "is the number one priority ... All the contestants have been provided the best possible medical evaluation and care." Adds Louganis: "Our goal is to keep them safe."

To that end, he says that training began long before stars hit the water. "We started with a boot camp to assess our celebrities and get a base line. That really informed our training path," he says, adding that the stars practice on a trampoline with a spotting harness, and a water harness while learning their dives.

As for injuries divers can face if they perform improperly, "Oh sure, ask me this question?" jokes Louganis, who famously sustained a dramatic head injury at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. "Boards sometimes get in the way on certain dives no matter how skilled you are," he says.

"On impact, divers can dislocate a shoulder," Louganis says. "Usually, we see this in platform diving, and from overuse or repetition." And landing on the side of one's head could result in a hurt or punctured eardrum, as fans saw with Bushfield.

The X-Games star has "no fear – zero!" says Lougains. "I thought that was incredibly cool until he lost focus in one training session, and while learning some new mechanics, he landed on his ear and busted his ear drum."

As for Katherine Webb's competition-ending injury, neither she nor the show would comment on type of injury she sustained.

Not That Dangerous – Or That Difficult?

While viewers have seen a slew of crashes on the reality competition, one top diving coach points out that the drama is simply played up for the cameras – and what you see on television isn't as difficult as the average fan might think.

USC's 14-year head diving coach Hongping Li has led his athletes to seven NCAA titles, and he's been tuning in to Splash in his spare time.

"The focus on the danger side, or the injury side, I think it's what the TV audience wants," he says. "I believe it has a lot to do with ... making people more interested in watching. They promote that intentionally. People like to watch people crash! They like to see people in danger."

So just how difficult are the types of dives the celebrities perform?

"They're particularly easy, in my view," says Li, adding that he's heard divers joke that the stars on the reality show "are not diving, they fall off [the diving board]! It's not very difficult at all."

But that doesn't mean Li isn't impressed with the celebrities' courage and the work they put into learning the sport.

"A few of them have done some somersaulting, and that is impressive for the amount of time they've had to train. To me, that is incredible. I would say the dives that they do, for how little time they train, [are] impressive. But to us, it's really novice level."

And while injuries do happen, with the proper training, they aren't as commonplace as Splash – or even Olympic coverage – might have viewers believe.

"I feel diving is much less dangerous than any other sport," says Li. "If you learn properly and if you learn with good instruction and [do age appropriate dives], I think that you can avoid all that."

"Diving, like any other sport, involves some risky elements, definitely. But instead of focusing on how many times no one gets hurt in how many years of diving without any injuries, they replay that moment of someone hurt, someone hitting the board over and over, [even if] that happened only once out of thousands of times."

In conclusion, asked if he thinks Splash is too dangerous, Li replied emphatically, "Absolutely not." Of course, that's not the reason he's watching.

"It's great to see diving being shown on TV in the regular week," says Li. Usually, "the only time people can watch diving is during the Olympic Games – we hardly have any TV time. I hope that it will help focus on the positives of our sport."

Michelle Duggar Explains Why She Covered Up While Snorkeling in Puerto Rico

When it comes to swimming, the Duggars have it covered.

On a recent marriage retreat to Puerto Rico filmed for their reality show, TLC's 19 Kids & Counting , Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar decided to go snorkeling. But not in typical bathing suits. (Watch a clip below.)

"In society, sometimes there's this idea that we cover up at certain times and then we go to the beach and wear our underclothes," Michelle tells PEOPLE. "Bathing suits are pretty and colorful but it's not our thinking that it is okay to be naked some places and not other places."

The solution is to find something "I feel comfortable in," Michelle says. "I am not feeling exposed in the ways I am uncomfortable with." For the trip, which airs Tuesday (9 p.m. ET) on TLC, that meant covering up in swimwear by WholesomeWear.com.

"The eyes are the windows to the soul," Michelle says. "And we are trying to keep our hearts pure, which is a struggle. Everyone has their idea of what is modest, but for our family, we try to avoid situations ... like the public beach or swimming pools that can make it a challenge to keep our minds pure."

Now Michelle and Jim Bob – who have 19 kids, two grandchildren and another due this summer – are able to jump into the water and have a good time like they did in Puerto Rico, though they still choose to swim privately when they can.

"I grew up going to the lake every summer but getting to see the coral reefs and beauty of the ocean was a new, wonderful experience," Michelle says of their trip. "I've always wanted to do that."

The star gave her fans a special, behind-the-scenes sneak peek straight from the set of her latest shoot for the brand!

While we still can’t get enough of Selena Gomez ‘s flirty and fun shoot for Adidas NEO Spring/Summer 2013 campaign, the 20-year-old songstress took to twitter to share a sneak peek from the set of the fall photo shoot — and it’s amazing!

Selena Gomez Adidas NEO Photoshoot For Fall:

“Good day today with @adidasNEOLabel for my fall/winter collection,” the songstress tweeted straight from the set. It looks like Selena traded her bikinis for clothing that’s appropriate for cooler weather — and she looks so pretty! The star’s brunette locks are cascading down her back in the shoot while her kohl-rimmed eyes cast a smoldering stare at the camera. Selena is flaunting her sporty side in a pair of grey studded sweats, a black tee, and sneakers. Cutout, elbow-length gloves add a trendy and edgy vibe to her casual cool get-up while a hint of her hot pink bra strap is peeking through. I also love the fringe detailing around her ankles — it’s a nice twist on the standard Adidas style!

While Selena seems to be the perfect fit as the face of the brand she’s also designing for the label, creating cool looks that are modeled after her personal sense of style.

We really loved all of the looks in the spring and summer campaign so we’re sure we’ll enjoy the fall line — especially because the star looks so good showing it off! Do you like the sneak peek from the fall campaign?

Pink Calls Willow's Concussion the 'Worst Day of My Life'

Jack Osbourne Respectfully Declines More Baby Gifts Ellen von Unwerth/Glamour

No more monkeys jumping on the bed!

When it comes to her 23-month-old daughter Willow Sage, first-time mom Pink is singing a new tune.

“Every time she bounces on the bed, I see stitches,” she says in Glamour‘s June issue. “Being a parent is a Jedi mind f—. It’s also the raddest thing ever.”

As it turns out, the new mama’s worries are for good reason. When her daughter was “around a year old,” Pink was forced to face her worst fears — head on!

“Willow and I were at the pool and I was taking her to nap time. She was walking just a foot in front of me, and she trips and falls and gets a concussion,” Pink, 33, recalls. “She passed out. Cut to an ambulance and fire truck and a CAT scan. “

While the experience proved to be “the worst day of my life,” Pink admits she’s since received a fair warning of her future. “And what do they say? ‘Kids fall.’ Welcome to parenthood,” she muses. “I thought, I can’t handle this. I’m fitting her for a bubble.”

But Pink’s fearless character isn’t the only thing she’s curbing these days.

“Willow said, ‘F—–’ hi,’ the other day. I’m like, ‘F—!’” she shares. “We’re gonna get a [cuss] jar. Have to.”

Ireland Baldwin Takes On Her Haters in a Bold Blog Post

Since making her modeling debut in early April, Ireland Baldwin has experienced the excitement of her career taking off — as well as plenty of judgmental comments.

So the teenage daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger took to her Tumblr to address her “haters” and to ask for a cease fire.

“What I don’t fully understand is: What is the good in commenting on a photo of a 17-year-old girl and calling her fat, ugly, etc.?” she asks in the post. “Is that helping you in some way? … Personally, I try to see the beauty in everyone. … I even see the beauty in the people who send me hateful replies!”

She also continues on to say that to compare her to her mom (or to hold her accountable for her dad’s previous behavior) is unfair.

“I am not my parents. My mom is one of the most beautiful women in the world,” she writes, “Let’s not forget, I also have a Dad too, so genetically speaking, I wasn’t built to look like my Mom’s identical twin!”

She continues to defend her father, saying “I get hateful replies and threats regarding mistakes of my Dad’s past. This isn’t fair. I had nothing to do with anything that happened back then, so I don’t fully understand why I am being targeted. More importantly, my Dad has moved on.”
