Tha Dogg Pound - LA Here's To You lyrics

[Hook]

LA – here’s to you

For being the kind of place a man can do his due

Out here the hippies skip, and they get their kicks

Bumpin’ all night long, out on Sunset Strip…

[Intro: Snoop Dogg]

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, players and pimps

We’d like to welcome you all to Los Angeles, California – yessir

(For being the kind of place a man can do his due

Out here the hippies skip, and they get their kicks

Bumpin’ all night long, out on Sunset Strip…)

[Verse 1: Snoop Dogg]

Run it down the line, Sunset and Vine

Blew a half a zip by the Hollywood sign

Scottie once said it gets better with time

Eastside, Long Beach, but this LA County on minds

Yeah, this is the sign of the times

One of a kind, and this might blow your mind

This ain’t no TV show, bow wow, yippie yo

Standin’ on your tippy-toe, nigga here we, here we go

Crenshaw Boulevard, everywhere niggas hard

Left ‘em burnin’ on my auntie’s front yard

Don’t disrespect or disregard

Shout out to the whole motherfuckin’ Crip card

Dip hard, wreck hard, used to pop, lock

You turn on the wrong street and you will get got

Move through the city like fee-fi-fo

Creep slow in a four, motherfuck 5-0

[Hook]

[Verse 2: Kurupt]

Look, Dogg Pound gangsters, we gotta dump off

Unless you wanna hear that pump cough

Watch who you talk on

And watch the different streets you walk on

I mob like a mobster

Like a motherfuckin’ monster

Don’t make me approach you

Contraband in my hand with the homes from the land

With a plan to expand and leave with a hundred grand

With my pistol in my hand, just me, Daz and… Big Snoop

That nigga ain’t never kept out the loop

Is this the way you livin’?

In this land of the unforgiven

Man, be wary how you livin’

So let me show you where the fuck we livin’

[Hook]

[Verse 3: Daz Dillinger]

The glamour, the lights, turn the city into the place you wanna be at

Them Dogg Pound gangsters, yeah, yeah, we bizzack

Four-figure raw to Pacific Palisades

I counted kindly with culture, blow it in the fray

Blind by the sun rays, I put on my locs

Skirt that Sunset as I ride and smoke

I’m clockin’ 22 miles on that famous boulevard

Echo Park, Silver Lake, never smoked in my car

Treacherous and arrogance, yeah, it’s four lanes wide

Esses, Asians, niggas, yeah, and One-Time

History is stymied from…

From prostitution to whole-sellin’ all that

Live on Sunset strip with a black-and-white, blam, blam

Pistol on the grip, yeah, takin’ others’ shit

You see us as we ride by

Exit 405, now this shit is gettin’ live, we in…

[Hook]

T. Mills - Loud lyrics

[Verse 1]

Hello to me, l-o-u-d full throttle

Turn it up loud pack

Burn it up, big faces earn it

Pockets straight perm it

My face numb, my jaw drops

How you like this sound bite

Hey bitch I’m back at it

Made a classic automatic never average

Get it crackin we battin no eyelashes sunglasses

We stay blasted

We only like it if it's loud, we only like it if it's loud (if it's loud)

We only like it if it's loud, we only like it if it's loud, if it's

The Volume, The Volume, The Volume

Pump Up The Volume

The Volume, The Volume, The Volume

Pump Up The Volume

[Chorus]

Pockets on loud when I walk around

Yeah, they say we got the sound

Yeah, never turn it down.

We yellin pump up the volume.

We only like it if it's loud, we only like it if it's loud, if it's loud

We always find a way to turn it up again

Never turn it down, we yellin pump up the volume.

[Verse 2]

Now turn it up & we ridin.

It ain’t my fault they can’t pull me over if I can’t hear the sirens

I don’t even need a microphone

Compared to me y’all mimin

Keep my stereo to the max, middle finger up to the silence cuz

We only like it if it's loud, we only like it if it's loud if it's loud

We only like it if it's loud

We only like it if it's

The Volume, The Volume, The Volume

Pump Up The Volume

The Volume, The Volume, The Volume

Pump Up The Volume

Pockets on loud when I walk around

Yeah, they say we got the sound

Yeah, never turn it down.

We yellin pump up the volume.

We only like it if it's loud, we only like it if it's loud if it's loud

We always find a way to turn it up again

Never turn it down

We yellin pump up the volume.

Want it loud

We want it want it loud

Aw yeah, cuz they know we got the sound

Want it loud, we want it want it loud

Aw yeah, break this mutha fucka down.

Pockets on loud when I walk around here

They say we got the sound

Yeah, never turn it down.

We yellin pump up the volume.

We only like it if it's loud, we only like it if it's loud if it's loud

We always find a way to turn it up again never turn it down

We yellin pump up the volume.

The Volume, The Volume, The Volume

Pump Up The Volume

The Volume, The Volume, The Volume

Pump Up The Volume

Myah Marie - Before I Dance With You lyrics

Oh, alright, see him looking over at me

Locking eyes, but that doesn’t get you

Nothing

Come on now, you know you wanna

Play this out

Turn me up,

No don’t let me down

Let me come clean

I know you got a thing thing for me

Baby show me how you feel feel the beat

Before I dance with you, dance with you

Seriously, you know you wanna leave here with me

But I gotta see you move your body

Before I dance with you, dance with you

Before I dance with you, dance with you

Getting close what you wanna take, take from me

There almost,

But you gotta do me one thing

Come on now, just let the music

Take you out

I’m feeling this world

So don’t, don’t let me down

Let me come clean

I know you got a thing thing for me

Baby show me how you feel feel the beat

Before I dance with you, dance with you

Jim Reeves - Beatin' On The Ding Dong lyrics

Beatin' on the ding dong all day long

I go around just singing this song

I got a gal, maybe two or three

Beatin' on the ding dong don't bother me.

Most folks worry when they have no dough

Which can't feel good 'cause of feeling low

I don't worry if I'm broke no more

I ain't rich so I must be poor.

Beatin' on the ding dong don't mean a thing

Just some words that you can sing

Makes no difference if they're right or wrong

Beating on the ding dong all day long.

--- Instrumental ---

Some are happy when they have big cars

To ride around and they puff cigars

Give me a rattle trap model T

I'm as happy as a kid could be.

A house and a flea and a bunch of mice

Out in the barnyard shootin' dice

The house grows cold and steps on a flea

The flea yells fellas there's a house on me.

Beating on the ding dong all day long

I go around just singing this song

I got a gal, maybe two or three

Beatin' on the ding dong don't bother me.

--- Instrumental ---

I stood with my gal on the porch last night

A huggin' and a kissin' till it got daylight

Her pa said get him and I had to stand

A bull dog had me by the seat of the pants.

I don't have nothin' to bother me

As happy as a possum in a lemon tree

If I had a wife that 'd work at all

I wouldn't have work this coming fall.

Beating on the ding dong all day long

I go around just singing this song

I got a gal, maybe two or three

Beatin' on the ding dong don't bother me.

Beatin' on the ding dong don't bother me...

Jitse - Happy Valentine's Day lyrics

You always tell me how you are, and how you feel,

And things that make me feel so whole and real

That’s why I give you this rose

And when I need you, you are always there

You help me out when I want to disappear

That’s why I give you this rose

Let the rose say the words

We can learn from the birds

You and I can fly away

Darling, Happy Valentine’s Day

You dry me up and you let me explain

When I’m late and wet and I’ve walked through the rain

That’s why I give you this rose

You give me wings to fly

When I ask for a balloon

You give me tender breeze, tender breeze

When I deserve a typhoon

And when I crash into a wall

You catch me when I fall

You do anything, God knows

That’s why I give you this rose

Let the rose say the words

We can learn from the birds

You and I can fly away

Darling, Happy Valentine’s Day

Jim Reeves - Read This Letter lyrics

Somebody read this letter for me

There's tears in my eyes and I can't see

I'm afraid that my darling walked through these trees

Somebody read this letter for me.

I'd like to read it but each time I try

My heart says it's bad new and I start to cry

I know at the ending there'll be a goodbye

To see through these tearsdrops, I can't though I try.

This is the letter I knew I would get

It's payment for something I'll alway regret

Be careful the papers a little bit wet

With teardrops for someone I'll never forget.

If it's signed by a lawyer I know what that means

Tomorrow he'll put an end to my dreams

You tell my darling once more you are free

Won't somebody read this letter for me?...

Jack Carey - The Emigrants Story lyrics

Farewell my lovely Ireland

Farewell my love so fair

She is sweeter than the fiddler's strings

And the songs the blackbird sings

For I must leave my fair haired girl

How I'll miss her so

If I could find the work I'd stay

Across the ocean I must go

Farewell my lovely Ireland

Farewell my land so fair

To the valleys hills and soft rain

Shades of green and golden grain

Crashing waves on your brave shores

My heart is always yours

With dampening eyes I leave you now

Across the ocean I must go

Oh farewell, farewell, I must stray

We'll meet again, come what may

Oh farewell, farewell, I must stray

It's time to be on my way

Farewell my lovely Ireland

Farewell my nation fair

Unchanged by wars and present woes

That hope, that courage shows

Those men and women heroes bold

Singing songs of days of old

Here's to you and better days

Across the ocean I must go

Oh farewell, farewell, I must stray

We'll meet again, come what may

Oh farewell, farewell, I must stray

It's time to be on my way

Farewell my lovely Ireland

Farewell to a life so fair

Man's greed has stole my childhood land

Live's torn by the traitor's hand

We'll meet again like parted streams

On our isle, our isle of dreams

We'll dance again like days of yore

My story will be told

We'll dance again like days of yore

My story will be told

Air Supply - Why? lyrics

Why, do we feel, do we hope, do we steal the years

As long as we're together, for as long as we're together

We will know.

Why do we give, do we say, will you take my hand

And live with me forever, if you live with me forever.

We will know.

Every day and night belongs to us.

Every step we take will be.

Just like the moment when this world was made for us,

Made for you and you for me.

Why are we strong are we weak, are we everything?

And meant for each other.

We were meant for each other, that I know.

Every day and night belongs to us.

Every step we take will be.

Just like the moment when this world was made for us,

Made for you and you for me.

Every day and night belongs to us.

Every step we take will be.

Just like the moment when this world was made for us,

Made for you and you for me.

Why do we give?

Why do we feel?

Why do we live?

Air Supply - You Are The Reason lyrics

(Graham Russell)

Here's on the street

A tear in the seam

Of pleasure and pain

Life carries on

A cloak of deceit

Brings honour to shame

But the voice I used to know

(Where are you now?)

Is the one I can't let go

Chorus:

You are the reason

My faith in tomorrow

A Distant horizon

The one I must follow

You are the first, You are the last

I'help you to see

The light in the dark

The sun through the rain

Until you are free

And facing the truth

That words can't explain

But the truth I think you know(Tell me)

I could never let you go

Chorus

You are the future from the past

You are the spell that has been cast

You are the reason

My faith in tomorrow

A distant horizon

The one I must follow

Chorus

You are the first

You are the last to me

Oom hm.....You are to me...You are...

Air Supply - Book Of Love lyrics

The book of love, that sacred place

Where we walk tall, or in disgrace

Who tills the ground on which we tread

Who gives us all our daily bread

The spirit woken from it's sleep

The demon stirring from the deep

Whose gates at dawn we all must pass

The last one first, the first one last

Whose words must be both black and white

Whose music shall be day and night

The moon that tells us of the sun

Where voices soar so far above

These pages are the book of love

If we were born just to succeed

If life was meant to be a choice

For either happiness or greed

If you can't walk, you'll always run

Away from anyone, yes you will

But if we learn to take our time

As though each moment is a treasure

That's not so hard to find

When you are free, then suddenly

There's room for everyone, yes there is

CHORUS

The book of love, the world of dreams

Those shadows fall upon us all

And send our weary eyes to sleep

But when you wake, your heart will make

Some room for everyone

Just come to me

There's nothing you should fear

Just come to me

I'll always be right here

I tell you now

Your heart is where I live

And what you ask, is what I'll give

If we were born just to succeed

If life was meant to be a choice

For either happiness or greed

If you can't walk, you always run

Away from anyone, yes you will

But if we learn to take our time

As though each moment is a treasure

That's not so hard to find

When you are free, then suddenly

There's room for everyone, yes there is

REPEAT CHORUS.

Air Supply - So Much Love lyrics

Another day has come and gone

They fade away like winter sun

I should have felt, what I I didn't see

I should have known, that you needed me

But now you're here

My heart is young, my mind is clear

The past was gone, when you came to me

You were always a part of my destiny

I always believed, that this day had to come

There was not enough time

And too much left undone

I could never deny

Just how far we had come

I've got so much love

So much love

So much love

So much love

Another day to spend with you

That's all I ask, just to be with you

And how I feel, you just don't know

And now you're here, I won't let you go

I always believed, that this day had to come

There was not enough time

And too much left undone

I could never deny

Just how far we had come

I've got so much love.

So much love.

So much love.

So much love.

Air Supply - When I Say lyrics

I just saw a picture, from the lost and found

It was taken the day that we met

With so many people around

All my false bravado seemed to disappear

So I just had to follow my heart

I knew it would take me somewhere

And I still feel the same

But it's heart to explain

All my emotions are tossed in the wind

Lost 'til the moment, I hold you again

When I say I love you

When I say I need you

When you say come closer

I know I'll never leave you

You can stare into heaven

When your heart is free

I supppose that we just couldn't wait

For heaven is where we must be

And we still feel the same

No need to explain

I don't see the shadows

I don't feel the rain

I'm walking in sunlight

I'll tell you again

When I say I want you

When I say I need you

When you say come closer

I know I'll never leave you

When I say I love you

When you come closer

I know I'll never leave you.

Air Supply - We The People lyrics

All the people in the world

Distant voices to be heard

Sacred rhythm shall make you free

Dance together, unity

From creation, the mask of God

Inspiration is all we've got

Hidden knowledge, can't get enough,

Taking chances, making love

Face to face with the moment of truth,

All those little white lies

We the people, we the people decide

We the people, shedding skin

Age of reason lies within

Explanation, the club of Rome

Meditation, and staying home

Moving forward, the chosen few

Teach your children what is new

Band the table, beat the drum

New messiah, overcome

Face to face with the moment of truth,

All those little white lies

We the people, we the people decide

We the people, we the people decide

All the people in the world

Distant voices to be heard

Sacred rhythm shall make you free

Dance together, unity

Face to face with the moment of truth,

All those little white lies

We the people, we the people decide

We the people, we the people decide

Face to face with the moment of truth,

All those little white lies

We the people, we the people decide

We the people, we the people decide

We the people, we the people decide.

We the people, we the people decide.

American Idol Reveals Its Top 20

Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey Pick American Idol's Top 20

From left: Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, Ryan Seacrest, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban

Michael Becker/FOX

American Idol has been on the air for 12 seasons. From the early days of Kelly Clarkson, the judges continually hounded the contestants on song choice. Simon Cowell (remember him?) would criticize contestants for being "cabaret," "old-fashioned" and, worst of all, "boring." Some of this season's contestants have been watching Idol since they were in elementary school, which makes it all the more inexplicable that they still choose to sing songs like Peggy Lee's "Fever," which is 57 years old.

The show began with the 10 contestants rising from the floor, Hunger Games-style. Five of them will continue, while five of them met their end. Find out who made it through to the next round … Spoiler Alert! The final picks for the Top 20 follow:

Cortez Shaw: His ballad arrangement of David Guetta's "Titanium" was excellent – and it was a nice change to hear a song that was current and relevant. "Your range surprised me today," judge Randy Jackson said. "When you hit those big notes, I was shocked."

Burnell Taylor: He's lost 40 lbs. since auditioning, and singing John Legend's "This Time," he brought down the house – despite oddly exaggerated hand movements. "I would pay to hear you sing," said Nicki Minaj, sharing the best compliment of the night. Mariah Carey was also pleased, simply saying, "This was fantastic."

Lazaro Arbos: After delivering an emotional performance of Keith Urban's "Tonight I Want to Cry," the 21-year-old singer from Naples, Fla., was unanimously sent through to the next round. The Cuban-born Arbos has arguably the season's most poignant backstory, with a severe stutter that vanishes when he sings. Minaj remains a big fan, telling him: "You feel it. You stay in it. Don't change nothing."

Nick Boddington: The New York City bartender performed "Say Something Now" by James Morrison and did a passable – if unremarkable – job. "I kept waiting for the feeling of being connected to you as a person," said Urban. Carey agreed, saying, "I needed to feel you more connected to the song."

Vincent Powell: Singing Lenny Williams's "'Cause I Love You," he effortlessly broke into a falsetto that elicited cheers from the audience. After calling him a "sexy old-fashioned" singer, Minaj added, "I could envision a whole bunch of 50-year-olds throwing their panties at you." Powell, who works his day job as a church worship leader, laughed nervously.

And yes, it was guys' night, but finalist Zoanette Johnson made a cameo when she stood up and cheered Powell's performance, prompting host Ryan Seacrest to run over with a microphone. (For a brief moment, It felt like a '90s-era episode of Ricki Lake, which is actually a very good thing.) "Get it, Papa Smurf," Johnson screamed. "You go get it."

Leave it to Zoanette to steal the show on guy's night.

Tonight's finalists will join Charlie Askew, Curtis Finch Jr., Paul Jolley, Elijah Liu and Devin Velez – and 10 female finalists – to sing for America's votes next week.

The 5 Most Infamous Oscar Dress Mishaps

ANNE'S PRADA DRAMA

Anne Hathaway relied on Valentino to create many major red carpet moments for her and even wore one of the fashion house's creations down the aisle. But when she found out Les Mis costar Amanda Seyfried's McQueen Oscar dress was very similar to her Valentino pick for the 2013 awards, she made a last-minute switch to a Prada gown, inciting controversy over the look itself and the designer diss, for which she later apologized.

Sure there were plenty of professional photographers on hand, but did you know Kelly Preston, Norah Jones and Quvenzhané Wallis snapped personal photos from Oscar night for their favorite charities exclusively for PEOPLE?

Preston, who took pics for the Jett Travolta Foundation and Heroes Health Fund, gives readers an intimate look as she gets ready at home with husband John Travolta and daughter Ella. The three later drove off to the red carpet in their 1962 Rolls Royce.

First-time Oscar attendee Jones, raised funds for SeriousFun.org, by showing us how she glammed it up at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel before performing at the show. Wallis, meanwhile, captured her special moments (she meet Halle Berry and Jamie Foxx!) for the Haven, a Louisiana-based charity for victims of violence.

Christina Perri - I Believe lyrics

I believe if I’d knew where I was going, I’d lose my way.

I believe that the words that he told you are not your grave.

I know that we are not the weight of all our memories.

I believe in the things that I am afraid to see.

Hold on.

Hold on.

I believe in the lost possibilities you can’t see.

And I believe that the darkness reminds us where light can be.

I know that your heart is still beating, beating darling.

I believe that you fell so you can land next to me.

Hold on.

Hold on.

‘cause I’ve been where you are before,

And I have felt the pain of losing who you are,

And I have died so many times but I am still alive.

I believe that tomorrow is stronger than yesterday.

And I believe that your head is the only thing in your way.

I wish that you could see your scars are linked of beauty.

I believe that today it’s okay to be not okay.

Hold on.

Hold on.

‘cause I’ve been where you are before,

And I have felt the pain of losing who you are,

And I have died so many times but I am still alive.

This is not the end of me,

This is the beginning.

(Hold on)

(I am still alive)

Lady Antebellum - Downtown lyrics

Well, all the parties on the streets are talking, store front mannequins sleeping in lights.

We used to smoke while we were jaywalking like it was your birthday every other saturday night.

Knew The bands so we never payed our cover.

Wrote our names on the bathroom tiles.

We never dressed to impress all the others,

They would let us in on a laid back kind of style.

But Boy you know it's been a while.

I don't know why you don't take me down town like you got anywhere better to be.

Talk it up and give me the go round round like a good time tease.

I'm only counting on your cancellation,

Then I should be countin on you at my door.

Did you forget about how we went around,

I don't know why you don't take me downtown anymore.

Ohhhhhhhh anymore.

I got some platforms sitting in the corner.

They wanna stroll on a city sidewalk.

I got a dress that'll show a little uhhh uh but you ain't getting uhh ohh if you don't come pick me up (damn),

Show me off (wow), you might be tired but I'm not!

And I don't know why you don't take me down town like you got anywhere better to be.

Talk it up and give me the go round round like a good time tease.

I'm only counting on your cancellation,

Then I should be countin on you at my door.

Did you forget about how we went around,

I don't know why you don't take me downtown anymore.

I don't know why you don't take me down town like you got anywhere better to be.

Talk it up and give me the go round round like a good time tease.

I'm only counting on your cancellation, then I should be countin on you at my door.

Did you forget about how we went around,

I don't know why you don't take me downtown anymore.

Ohhhhhhhhh anymore. Yeaaaaah don't know why you don't take me downtown,

I don't know why you don't take me downtown anymore.

I just don't get it.

Are Three Missing Aspiring Models From Colorado Linked?

Models Raven Cassidy Furlong, Kara Nichols, Kelsie Schelling Linked?

From left: Raven Cassidy Furlong, Kara Nichols and Kelsie Schelling

On Tuesday afternoon, Lin Furlong of Denver, Colo., received a troubling call from her stepdaughter, Raven, 17, who'd been missing since Feb. 5.

"Raven said she was safe, but that she was calling from someone else's phone and couldn't stay on the line and had to go," Lin Furlong tells PEOPLE. "I was relieved to hear her voice, but I'm terrified for her. She sounded scared and not like herself at all."

Raven had been using the modeling website Model Mayhem – a networking site for models and photographers – and her family believes her disappearance may have been linked to a stranger she could have met through the site.

Raven's story is all too familiar for the family of Kara Nichols, 19, of Colorado Springs. Kara, who also used the site, has been missing since Oct. 9 after she told roommates she was headed to a modeling job in Denver.

"We're reluctant to portray our daughter as just a no-good person that no one should care about," her mother Julia Nichols tells PEOPLE. She was informed by police that Kara had a connection to drug use and prostitution.

"She's our daughter. We love her dearly," Nichols adds. "We're deeply alarmed about what may have happened to her."

A third woman, Kelsie Schelling, 22, of Denver, who went missing Feb. 4, was also an aspiring model, according to her profile found on ExpertTalent.com. A representative of that site, however, tells PEOPLE that Schelling created the profile in May 2006 and only logged on once. So far, police say there's no conclusive evidence that the disappearances are related.

"Kara Nichols's case remains an active and ongoing investigation," Lt. Jeff Kramer of the El Paso County, Colo., Sheriff's Office tells PEOPLE. "We cannot say whether Model Mayhem was responsible at this time. We continue to investigate all leads."

Model Mayhem has allegedly been linked to the disappearances of at least 13 women, according to Michelle Bart, president of the National Women's Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation, which is now representing Raven and Kara's families.

"We feel there's an epidemic of young women being preyed upon on this site and it needs to be seriously investigated," says Bart, who points out the Better Business Bureau rated the site an F.

According to a statement released by Model Mayhem, the site "strongly believes that safety should be top of mind when doing anything online. Model Mayhem tries to educate users about scams and how to avoid them."

Adds Lin Furlong, who concedes that Raven has run away from home in the past: "We just want her to come home."

Anyone with information on Raven Furlong should email tips@nwcave.org or visit Facebook.com/HelpFindRavenCassidyFurlong. Disabled 'Kangaroo' Dog to Walk Again - with the Help of $7,000 in Donations

02/28/2013 at 07:00 PM EST

What's in a name? A whole lot when it comes to 1-year-old Chihuahua Victory, who always puts her best paw forward – even when she physically can't.

The disabled dog was born with deformed front legs, which cause her to totter around, almost like a kangaroo. Now, she's getting a chance to take the next step toward a normal life.

Victory is due to receive a protective vest, a set of wheels and a sled-like apparatus to improve her mobility, thanks to people around the world who heard her story and wanted to help, reports Today .

It's been just a few weeks since Victory was found on the streets of Dearborn, Mich., where she was taken in by the local Dearborn Animal Shelter and given her ever-appropriate name. No one came to the rescue to claim her.

Though there was no surgery available to help Victory, shelter staff found a solution through a combination of three orthopedic devices. The only problem? The price tag: $2,000.

But that was quickly solved after a newsletter telling Victory's story garnered global buzz. Within a week, the shelter staff met their goal – and then some – to the tune of $7,000.

Victory won't commit to a forever home until she's acclimated to her new devices, says Elaine Greene, executive director of Friends for the Dearborn Animal Shelter, a nonprofit that runs the organization. "We're all very attached to her, and she to us," Greene tells Today. "So we're looking for a very special situation."

Until then, Victory is enjoying life in the winners' circle.

"We thought that she needed a name that really described how she looked at life and the fact that she survived when many animals with deformities don't," Greene says. "She has such a wonderful personality and spirit that we felt she's been victorious over what could be barriers that stand in the way."

Jovit Baldivino - Pusong Bato lyrics

Nang ika’y ibigin ko

Mundo ko’y biglang nagbago

Akala ko ika’y langit

'Yun pala’y sakit ng ulo

Sabi mo sa'kin

Kailanma'y 'di magbabago

Naniwala naman sa iyo

Ba’t ngayo’y iniwan mo

'Di mo alam dahil sa'yo

Ako’y 'di makakain

'Di rin makatulog

Buhat ng iyong lokohin

Kung ako’y muling iibig

Sana’y 'di maging katulad mo

Tulad mo na may pusong bato

Kahit sa'n ka man ngayon

Dinggin mo itong awitin

Baka sakaling ika’y magising

Ang matigas mong damdamin

'Di mo alam dahil sa'yo

Ako’y 'di makakain

'Di rin makatulog

Buhat ng iyong lokohin

Kung ako’y muling iibig

Sana’y 'di maging katulad mo

Tulad mo na may pusong bato

'Di mo alam dahil sa'yo

Ako’y 'di makakain

'Di rin makatulog

Buhat ng iyong lokohin

Kung ako’y muling iibig

Sana’y 'di maging katulad mo

Tulad mo na may pusong bato

'Di mo alam dahil sa'yo

Ako’y 'di makakain

'Di rin makatulog

Buhat ng iyong lokohin

Kung ako’y muling iibig

Sana’y 'di maging katulad mo

Tulad mo na may pusong bato

Tulad mo na may pusong bato

Tulad mo na may pusong bato

Lilet - Kaibigan Lang lyrics

Noong ako ay nilapitan mo

Tinanong kung ano ang pangalan ko

Nabighani agad itong puso

Na-love at first sight sa ‘yo

02/28/2013 at 04:45 PM EST

Jennifer Lawrence not only has an Oscar, she has a best friend in Louisville. Ky., where she grew up – and even Lawrence's own mother says this smiling neighborhood kid is a star. His name is Andy Strunk.

"Most popular guy in Kentucky," Lawrence, 22, tells Louisville TV station Wave 3 . The two go back to having attended middle school together.

"He has the kindest heart of anybody I've ever met," says the Best Actress winner. "He's always in a good mood. And he's one of the funniest people I've ever been around."

Says his mother, Pollyanna Strunk: "He's her No. 1 fan"– and he's got every photo, every interview, every TV listing of Lawrence. She also sends him posters and mementos he adds to his collection.

Says Jennifer's mother, Karen Lawrence, who spoke to the TV camera with her arm around Andy, "I just know Jennifer's love for Andy is genuine."

Jodi Arias Murder Trial: Cries Uncontrollably During Cross-Examination

After a month on the stand in which she showed little emotion, Jodi Arias broke down and cried uncontrollably in her Phoenix trial on Thursday.

The prosecutor was pushing her to recall how her lover Travis Alexander allegedly attacked her before she stabbed him 27 times and shot him in the head.

Although she has testified in detail about many events in their nearly two-year, off-and-on relationship, the 32-year-old photographer says she killed Alexander in self defense after he attacked her for dropping his new camera – but that she blanks out when trying to recall the stabbing and shooting.

"Where were you taking these photographs when this happened?" prosecutor Juan Martinez asked as he displayed photos Arias took with Alexander's camera of him alive in his bedroom shower and then lying dead in it.

"Outside the shower," Arias said as she removed her glasses and wept.

"Ma'am, were you crying when you were shooting him?" asked Martinez, who suggests Arias cold-bloodedly planned the slaying out of jealousy, using a gun reported stolen from her grandparents' Yreka, Calif., home.

"I don't remember."

"Were you crying when you were stabbing him?"

"I don't remember."

"How about when you cut his throat – were you crying then?

"I don't remember."

"So take a look (at the photos) – you're the one that did this, right?"

"Yes."

"And you're the same individual that lied about all of this, right?" Martinez asked, referring to the way Arias has repeatedly changed her story.

"Yes," Arias said.

Martinez again asked Arias to look at the photos, but she was crying so much that the judge halted the proceedings and called an early lunch break.

If convicted, Arias could get the death penalty.

Michelle Williams Was 'Not Ready' to Commit to Jason Segel: Source

From the outside, it seemed as though Michelle Williams couldn't get enough of boyfriend Jason Segel. In reality, the actress may not have seen him as forever material.

"She cares a great deal for Jason but is not ready to make a commitment," a source tells PEOPLE. "Maybe if they were together day-to-day, she would have more confidence in a future. But not at this time."

Dating for a year, PEOPLE confirmed on Tuesday that the pair called it quits, citing long distance as the primary reason.

"Jason never got rid of his place in L.A., and Michelle's life with [daughter] Matilda was and has always been in New York," a second source says. "While Jason made every effort to make them a priority in his life – and they were top priority – he still couldn't drop everything and leave his life and career in L.A."

The road to romance has not been an easy one for Williams, 32.

The actress's ex, Heath Ledger, was found dead of an accidental prescription drug overdose in 2008, less than a year after they split. Left to care for their daughter alone, Williams stayed out of the spotlight, but began dating director Spike Jonze for about a year. Following their split, she didn't have a public romance again until Segel, 33, in 2012.

Natalie and Derrica Wilson Help Find the Missing

Missing African Americans Found with Grassroots Foundation

One spring day in 2004 a young African-American woman named Tamika Huston vanished from her Spartanburg, S.C., apartment.

Her family did everything they could to get the media to pay attention to the 24-year-old's disappearance, sending out emails, calling newspapers and TV stations – to no avail.

"It was painful watching them struggle for any kind of media coverage-local or national," says Derrica Wilson, who was born and raised in Spartanburg. "This could have been one of my family members."

One year almost to the day later, high school senior Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba. And that story, of course, was everywhere. "It made me angry but angry in a positive way," says Derrica. "I wanted to do something to help families like Tamika's."

So she turned to her own family to make that happen. In 2008, Derrica and her sister-in-law, Natalie Wilson, started the Black and Missing Foundation, a non-profit geared toward helping minority families find missing loved ones. By working closely with police, the media and the families themselves, they have helped locate more than 113 missing people – 71 of them alive.

It's a daunting task: Thousands of African-Americans go missing each year (one-third of all missing-persons cases). The problem has caught Hollywood's eye: Tyler Perry recently offered a $100,000 reward for tips leading to the discovery of two missing Florida men.

The Wilsons fund the foundation out of their own pockets and make themselves available day and night to grieving families – even though they both have full-time jobs and families of their own. "Let's just say it's a calling," says Derrica, 34. They have more than 2,000 cases in their database (they only take on cases in which police reports were filed).

"I believe in what they do," says Washington, D.C. assistant police chief Diane Groomes, who was so impressed with their work she joined their board of directors.

The sisters in law divvy up their duties based on what they do best. Derrica, a cop for years who currently works as an investigator for a D.C. agency, coaches families on how to deal with law enforcement and the media. Natalie, 43, a public relations expert, works on getting the cases coverage on radio, newspapers, the web and television.

They've also partnered with TV One and national radio host Michael Baisden to get ongoing coverage of different cases. "It's one of the most fulfilling experiences I've ever had," says Baisden, whose show has helped find 14 children. "There is nothing more traumatizing than losing your child and not knowing if they are alive or dead."

On Feb. 13, the sisters-in-law started a support group for families that meets weekly in Washington, D.C. "Coping with a missing loved one is traumatic and overwhelming," says Natalie. "We want families to know that they are not alone." On May 25, they will host a 5K run in Ft. Washington, Md. to raise awareness of the issue.

No one is more appreciative of these efforts than the families they are helping. "If I had the next hundred years I couldn't thank them enough," says Unique Harris, 45, who says Derrica and Natalie got the Washington, D.C. media to give some much-needed attention to the still-unsolved disappearance of her daughter Valencia, 24.

"When I talk to Natalie and Derrica I let them know I love them, "she says, "and they're like family now."

She's still his little girl.

Tom Cruise spent four to five days of quality time with daughter Suri last week, as he flew her over in his private jet from New York to London and then brought her up to the swanky Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire.

A source told PEOPLE that Suri was with her father for several days, "but they kept such a low profile that nobody really knew she was there."

Partly because of Cruise's film commitments, it hasn't been easy for father and daughter to spend much time together since the actor, 50, and Katie Holmes split last summer.

Tom and Suri were together at both Thanksgiving and Christmas last year, yet they communicate daily.

Suri, 6, is now based with her mother full time in New York City, where she is enrolled in Manhattan's private Avenues school. She cannot visit her father on set these days as easily as she could when she was home-schooled.

Meanwhile, Holmes, 34, was spotted courtside at the New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, just seats away from New York Giants star Victor Cruz.

What We're Reading This Weekend: Looking for the Next Big Thing in YA Fiction ... and More!

02/28/2013 at 12:15 PM EST

We're big book lovers around here – novels, celebrity memoirs, the classics, YA fiction … anything that grabs and transports us.

This week's selection of staff book picks reflects our fairly eclectic tastes. Check out what we're reading this week below, and keep the conversation going by letting us know in the comments what books are capturing your imagination.

What We're Reading This Weekend: Looking for the Next Big Thing in YA Fiction ... and More!| Beautiful Ruins, Ender's Game

Alynda Wheat, Movie Critic

Her pick: Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

I'm always reading something that's being turned into a movie. These days that means plenty of young-adult fiction as studios pursue the next hit teen franchise, like Twilight or The Hunger Games . This one's a contender: It's about a futuristic space school where kids prepare to battle aliens. The action and the moral implications are intense – and it might give 15-year-old Asa Butterfield, the star of the film coming in November, a shot at being another Jennifer Lawrence.

What We're Reading This Weekend: Looking for the Next Big Thing in YA Fiction ... and More!| Beautiful Ruins, Ender's Game

Samantha Miller, Features Editor

Her pick: Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter

Beautiful Ruins is a romantic, funny, page-turner of a novel about both modern-day Hollywood and a struggling young actress in Italy in the 1960s. I'd call it a beach read except it's 40 degrees and raining here in New York City ... the book's taking me away from all that!

What We're Reading This Weekend: Looking for the Next Big Thing in YA Fiction ... and More!| Beautiful Ruins, Ender's Game

The House on Willow Street

Lisa Greissinger, Deputy Editorial Manager

Her Pick: The House on Willow Street by Cathy Kelly

Sometimes I review books for the magazine, and I love it: it gives me an excuse to curl up with a novel and tell everyone that mama's "working." Right now my "work" is this story set in an Irish village. My favorite character is a mom of two whose high school boyfriend shows up just as she's separated from her husband. Which of us hasn't wondered about the guy who got away? It's pretty delicious.

Rachel McAdams's last boyfriend was a little older than her. Now it looks like she's keeping company with someone from the Cretaceous Period.

The actress, 34, who recently split with her beau of two years, actor Michael Sheen, was courted by the Toronto Raptors's velociraptor mascot on Monday night.

He presented the Midnight in Paris actress with flowers and a stuffed dinosaur as the Toronto public-address announcer introduced the London, Ontario, native to the crowd, who cheered wildly.

McAdams, sporting newly red locks, seemed charmingly embarrassed by the whole episode, but took it in stride, grinning her famous smile as she accepted the presents.

As NBA mascots go, the Raptor would be a prize catch for any Hollywood actress. Described as "165 lbs. of pure solid fur," he's been voted the most popular NBA mascot in each of the past three seasons.

He also "enjoys making people laugh, whether with him or at him, usually at him," according to his bio.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Does He Have a New Girlfriend?

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been spotted with a new lady friend in recent days – someone who shares his dedication to staying in shape.

The former world-champion bodybuilder has been on several dates with Heather Milligan, a 38-year-old Southern California physical therapist who works with a number of NFL athletes, New York's Daily News reports.

The Hollywood legend and former California governor, 65, dined with Milligan last Friday at Babalu in Santa Monica, and they were spotted driving around Brentwood the next day.

The News also says that on Tuesday of this week, Milligan deleted a "Happy Birthday" Tweet to Schwarzenegger that she had posted last July.

Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, split in 2011 following the revelation that he had fathered a child with a housekeeper. The action star later acknowledged that he had "inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain" on their four children.

Nicholas Hoult Dated Jennifer Lawrence - But Insists He's No Heartthrob

Nicholas Hoult, Jack the Giant Slayer Star, Dated Jennifer Lawrence

Sure, he dated Hollywood "It" Girl Jennifer Lawrence for two years and has girls around the world drooling over him. But Nicholas Hoult still only sees himself as a regular guy.

"I don't think I'm really a heartthrob," says Hoult, 23, who is currently starring in the new film, Jack the Giant Slayer, opening Friday. "I'm pretty lanky and goofy looking! But it's very flattering and that's very nice if anyone does see me as being attractive."

The actor made his first mark as a child in the Hugh Grant film About a Boy. In fact, he's still recognized for that role (one reviewer accidentally referred to him as "Marcus Brewer," his character's name).

So Hoult has tried to pick different types of roles – like his recent role in the zombie flick Warm Bodies – to diversify a bit.

Despite his growing fame, "I don't really get recognized that much," he says. "I guess I look different without a lot of makeup on."

Lea Michele Reveals See Through Lace Bra In Sexy Gown

The ‘Glee’ gal put her curves on full display and added a lace bra top to her look, giving the seriously sexy, plunging dress an extra sultry vibe. Get a 360 view of her revealing look right here. Can you believe she flashed her bra on the red carpet?

Lea Michele attended the Paleyfest Icon Awards on Feb. 27 at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. The young beauty shocked us all in a black frock that bared way more than usual. While the star’s Vivienne Tam Spring 2013 black silk chiffon gown had a very plunging neckline, the star attempted to cover up, wearing a black lace, see-through bra to her ensemble — but the get-up was still seriously sexy! Is there nothing that this 26-year-old can’t pull off?

Though the Glee actress recently refused to commit to a topless scene as her character Rachel Berry on screen, she certainly wasn’t shy about her latest look. Lea paired her flowing frock with a lace bra that gave the sexy look a softer, more feminine vibe. While we’re sure she would have pulled off the plunging silhouette flawlessly, we don’t blame her for wanting to cover up a bit! The bronze skin revealed by the frock’s deep plunging neckline was covered by nothing more than a lace brassiere — we love the lingerie vibe the star added to her get-up!

When we first saw her on the red carpet we thought the lace bra top was part of the dress — how creative of Lea! Flashing your bra isn’t something just anyone could pull off, but this star really made the look work. We’re impressed!

The empire waist and sheer bottom toned down the hot top just enough to create the gorgeous look of the night. We love that the subtle open back gave us a glimpse of the rest of the delicate lace bra. A gal as petite as Lea can definitely pull off the cutaway detailing with ease.

Joined by her on and off-screen beau, Corey Monteith , 30, and other fellow cast members, the stunning star honored series creator, Ryan Murphy , 47, at the event. Corey must’ve been loving his girl’s slinky piece, as she beamed confidence while posing beside him.

Lea definitely unleashed her inner diva for the event and we loved it. What do YOU think? Can Lea pull off the defined look or should she stick to the natural innocence of her character? Comment below and let us know!
