The dog that was videotaped attacking four-year-old Jeremy Triantafilo but was chased away by Tara the hero cat was euthanized 10 days after the incident, May 24.
The half labrador retriever half chow pooch that mauled Jeremy Triantafilo but was chased away by Tara the hero cat was put to sleep on May 24. Apparently, the dog showed no signs of being rehabilitated and had to be put down, according to animal shelter officials where to dog was housed.

The dog remained aggressive and even tried to bite one of its handlers at the Bakersfield shelter where it ended up after the attack, reports TMZ.
The dog was said to also attack staff members at the animal shelter even when they tried to bring it food. Wow, talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
The video of this dog’s vicious attack quickly went viral. The dog is seen stalking Jeremy before pouncing on him and dragging him down by his leg.

Tara jumped into action and flung herself headlong into the dog’s face, forcing it to release Jeremy, and run off.
Animal control was able to snatch the dog up eventually before it was able to hurt anyone else.
As a reward for her bravery Tara was allowed to throw out the opening pitch, on May 20, for Bakersfield’s minor league baseball team the Bakersfield Blaze.
