Prince Harry helped make the Olympic swimming champ's birthday wishes come true by joining in a sing-along at a party in Colorado on Friday.
Standing next to Harry, 28, Franklin flashed her famous smile as party guests serenaded her with "Happy Birthday."
"And the perfect way to end my 18th birthday!? Meeting Prince Harry!" Franklin wrote in a post on her Instagram page. "It was an honor meeting him and I had a blast as always."
Franklin told reporters at the Sanctuary Golf Club, located south of Denver, Colo., she is a big fan of the royal family. "All my friends can't believe how lucky I am to be here," she said. "Everyone just has so much respect for Prince Harry."
Franklin, who won four gold medals and a bronze at the London Olympic Games last year, was even teased by the playful prince because her medal collection from London does not include a silver. "So you went straight from bronze to gold? What about silver? You skipped that one," he said.
The new pals met up at the party to welcome the prince to Colorado – the latest stop on his U.S. tour.
"He's very charismatic. He obviously doesn't hide his personality. And he's handsome, so that doesn't hurt," partygoer Jenna Bainbridge of Castle Rock, Colo., told reporters of the prince, who is in town to attend the Warrior Games this weekend in Colorado Springs.
More than 200 wounded servicemen and women from the U.S. and Britain will participate in the sporting event. Harry, who has served in Afghanistan and visited wounded soldiers and recovering servicemen in Washington, D.C., has said the Games are a central part of his week-long tour through several states.
