The Czech woman, 23, gave birth to her country's first recorded case of quintuplets on Sunday, the BBC reports.
Conceived naturally, the babies arrived 31 weeks into her pregnancy "without any complications," say doctors at Prague's Institute for the Care of Mother and Child. Kinova, who originally was told she was carrying twins, had a Cesarean section.
The babies' weights ranged from 2.3 lbs. to 3 lbs. Forty doctors attended to the delivery, say reports.
"The girl is named Tereza, the identical twins Michael and Deniel and we also have Alex and Martin," their father, Antonin Kroscen, 26, told reporters. "I'm very happy."
The couple already have a young son, and the family lives in the town of Milovice, about 12 miles northeast of Prague.
"I was crying all the way, since I feared I would not manage it," said the father, who was present at the delivery – despite a late train.
