Cappuccio, a seafood businessman, filed papers citing irreconcilable differences, TMZ reports. The couple were married for three years.
LaRue – who plays Det. Natalia Boa Vista on the crime drama – acknowledged on Twitter on Thursday that she and her daughter Kaya, 12, (who's from her second marriage to All My Children star John Callahan), were going through an "emotional time."
The 47-year-old told PEOPLE in 2008 that she hadn't planned on getting married again after two failed marriages and even warned Cappuccio on their first date.
"I told him, 'I'm looking for a long-term companion, but I don't see the sense in getting married again,' " she
The pair married in a lavish celebration on the beach in Mexico.
