Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas

Tonight we reveal our switch-up partner! Thank you for all your Twitter votes in choosing my new pro. I think you're going to be surprised about who it is. I sure was!
The switch-up is only for one week and we'll go back to our original partners, which I was happy to hear, but I also have to say that I've enjoyed every moment with my new partner. His style and teaching technique is different than Mark's. I can't say one is better than the other, just different and I'm excited to take everything I'm learning from this week's pro and put it into practice with Mark.
My mystery pro is all about collaboration. When we heard our song for the first time, he wanted to know my thoughts and ideas about our theme and costumes. I was a bit surprised because Mark always comes in with a vision about the stage and costumes before our initial meeting about the new dance. Obviously, I trust Mark and think his ideas have been fantastic!
So when I heard our song for this week, I told my new partner what vibe it gave me and expanded on it. He loved what I had to say and said, "Let's do it! This isn't my dance for you, it's our dance together." So, we'll see if my ideas translate on the ballroom floor and yes, I'll be performing my first ballroom dance. Take a guess at which one based on my shoes!
Many of you asked about my fitness routine. I typically work out four to five days a week for an hour, lifting heavy weights for about 25 minutes with 35 minutes of cardio on the treadmill or elliptical. Lifting weights has changed my body tremendously and I'd never go without it again. It's leaned out my body and given me a muscular shape, unlike pure cardio, which most women feel more comfortable with or think that alone will help them lose more weight. It's not true. The combo of both is everything.
But my typical fitness routine hasn't been implemented while being on DWTS since I don't have much spare time and dancing five hours a day seems to take care of my fitness! Seriously, I don't think any of us have time to dance for that many hours a day unless it's your profession, but wow, it's the most amazing workout. And can you say fun?
It doesn't feel like I'm working out and yet, I'm seeing small muscles I'm never seen before. I actually have a 6-pack. Ok, maybe it's a 4 pack, but you can see my abs and I'm probably most excited about that!
My nutrition also plays a big part in staying fit. I've lost about 5 pounds in the last 5 weeks, which may not sound like a lot, but I don't really have any weight to lose and am a petite person so 5 pounds is a lot on me.
I have to make sure I'm eating enough to keep weight on and most importantly, eating the right foods so that my body stays healthy. Eating unhealthy fatty foods isn't the right thought process in order to keep weight on because it doesn't do your heart any good or help your stamina and strength.
I'm eating about six small meals a day that combines the right proportions of fats, carbs and proteins from a fresh prepared food service called Freshology, and supplementing a few more calories with Usana's Nutrimeal chocolate shake which is really convenient when I'm running out the door or need a sweet pick me up during rehearsals.
I've never used a prepared food service before since Val and I do all the cooking for our family at home, but with my schedule for DWTS, this service has been a blessing to me.
I want to know what you think after tonight's show with my new partner! Sound off on the comments below and don't forget to tweet me at @CandaceCBure or follow me on Facebook.
