Bachelor and Bachelorette stars Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke have ended their 2½-year relationship.
In a joint statement the popular couple, who appeared on Bachelor Pad in 2010, tell PEOPLE, "With love and respect, we decided to take a break in January. We are both focused on philanthropic and personal growth at this time, wishing each other the best. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
Both Molzahn and Locke were runners-up on their respective seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Molzahn lost out on receiving the final rose from Jake Pavelka, who instead proposed to Vienna Girardi. Bachelorette Jillian Harris accepted a proposal from Ed Swiderski over Locke on the season 5 finale.
The couple end their statement by saying, "Thank you for your support always."
