Hollywood’s most glamorous modern day Burlesque performer Dita Von Teese has just launched two new performances and a sensual lingerie collection for HSN. Here’s our HollywoodLife.com exclusive interview.
Dita Von Teese is absolutely personable and gorgeous in person. I had the opportunity to sit down with her to discuss her Von Follies fashion line and Rouge fragrance and she explained the concept behind them both.
Rita’s Lingerie Line & Fragrance
The 40-year-old exudes sexy! She explained to me how she got into this profession and that she wanted to be a ballerina when she was younger. That she ended up working at a lingerie store and realized that she could combine her love for lingerie and performing.
Dita then found herself posing for pin up lingerie ads. The performer said that it was then that she thought “why not turn this into an old Hollywood burlesque” show.
Dita Talks About Love
Dita, who was once married to Marilyn Manson in 2005, said that maybe she having many relationships and not just one is ideal for her.
“I think about my old idols of Hollywood,” she told me. “Like glamorous exciting women, that had exciting lives, Elizabeth Taylor, Rita Hayworth, or Marilyn Monroe. All these women who had big careers and big personalities, adventurous lives. Sometimes it can be hard to keep up a relationship but don’t beat yourself up about it. Maybe instead of having one big love affair, maybe it is nice to have several small ones.”
