The official trailer for the Veronica Mars movie has debuted, drumming up buzz for the upcoming big-screen version of the hit TV series headlined by Kristen Bell.
Bell, who plays the titular sleuth-cum-lawyer, returns with most of the original cast, including Chris Lowell as nice-guy beau Piz and Jason Dohring as former flame Logan. Translation: Cue the inevitable intrigue! (A big bonus: Even New Girl's Max Greenfield is back as erstwhile hookup Deputy Leo.)
The TV series ran for three seasons from 2004 to 2007, and the fact that a movie got made at all is, in itself, a big win for fans: It was funded by a Kickstarter campaign that raised a whopping $5.7 million in donations.
