A slew of Hollywood stars came to celebrate and roast the shock jock during a special celebration broadcast live via SiriusXM radio from New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday.
"I feel great and happy," Stern told PEOPLE on the red carpet prior to the show. "Being 60 is not a bad thing. I'm in a good place in my life. I have the best job and the perfect wife. I'm a lucky man. And it's an honor to have so many people come and celebrate with me. I could never have imagined any of this."
Celebrities including Robert Downey Jr., Justin Theroux, George Clooney (via a taped message), Barbara Walters, Bryan Cranston, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Sarah Silverman, Louis C.K., Heidi Klum, Gov. Chris Christie and even Patricia Krentcil made an appearance during the four-and-a-half-hour event hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
Kate Couric was also in attendance, revealing to Stern that she and fiancé John Molner plan to marry this summer.

The party also included performances by Adam Levine, John Mayer, Steven Tyler and Slash, Jon Bon Jovi, Dave Grohl, Jewel, and John Fogerty, who all sang some of Stern's favorite songs such as "Everlong."
Stern's "enemies," such as Rosie O'Donnell, Lena Dunham and Kathie Lee Gifford, offered birthday wishes – Stern has spent lots of airtime making fun of these stars.
Dunham took to the stage and reminded Stern he had once said she "looked like Jonah Hill in a dress." The Girls actress got her revenge by saying, "[Your wife] Beth could definitely be with someone who doesn't look like a cartoon of a Jewish female horse!"
Even with all the zingers, actor Ryan Phillippe stole the show by giving Stern's beloved sidekick of 32 years, Robin Quivers, a sexy lap dance and striptease on stage.

"We're just the closest of friends as well as partners," Quivers told PEOPLE. "We have been through everything together and he's just the best. This past year with my cancer, he was so there for me. I couldn't ask for a better friend."
Stern's pal Kimmel would agree.
"He's a guy that I admire and have admired for a long time," Kimmel told PEOPLE. "I was excited to be a guest on his show and even more excited when we continued our relationship off the show. He's really a great guy. It's a real honor to be hosting the party for Howard. I would do anything for him."
