Angelina Jolie in the trailer for Maleficent

Angelina Jolie's film Maleficent just came out, but her interpretation of the iconic villain already has its fans.
For Hyung86's Disney University series, the artist envisioned Maleficent as an "ill-tempered, manipulative and elegant" headmaster.
Darko Dordevic envisioned the Sleeping Beauty villain with a set of luscious Joan Holloway locks.
Precia T painted her Native American Maleficent with all the colors of the wind.
Daekazu couldn't help but wonder what would happen if the Sex and the City gals became four of Disney's most famous female villains: Charlotte is Enchanted's Queen Narissa, Samantha is Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians and Miranda is Madame Medusa from The Rescuers.
To celebrate the film's release on Friday, a number of Internet artists have taken to mashing up Maleficent with other characters from the Hollywood universe and posting their results to DeviantArt.
Could Maleficent end up being the next Frozen? We'll know when we start seeing nine-year-olds ditching their Elsa capes for those iconic horns.
See the best mashups below.
