Justin Bieber, who informed a Los Angeles radio station last week that his next album would be his last, took to his Twitter account on Christmas Eve to tell his 47,965,421 followers: "My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring."
But then came follow-up messages, in which he contradicted what he had just said – and blamed the press for any misunderstanding.
Sayeth the Bieb: "The media talks a lot about me. They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle."
(One might editorialize, "Whatever that means.")
But wait, there was more.
Two minutes later, he expansively wrote, "Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER."
So there.
