The palace announced Friday that the royals will promote various charities close to their hearts and carry out some ambassadorial roles on behalf of programs for the U.K. government while in New York City.
There will be a gala dinner benefiting their former university, St. Andrews, where they met and fell in love. They will also visit the 9/11 memorial during their time in the city, and are set to attend a basketball game in Brooklyn in support of an ongoing collaboration between their Royal Foundation, United for Wildlife and the NBA.
During the three-day visit, scheduled for Dec. 7-9, they will also separate briefly, with William, 32, heading to Washington, D.C., on Monday as they focus on different areas.
The trip, first discussed over the summer and confirmed last month, was to have been just William.
But now Kate, feeling better after suffering severe pregnancy sickness in the early months of her second pregnancy, is joining him.
And, contrary to rumors that surfaced last weekend, Prince George will not be joining the couple across the pond.
A statement listing the full program was issued by their office at Kensington was posted on the palace website Friday.
It will be the second official trip to the U.S. by the couple: They were last stateside for a visit to Los Angeles in 2011.
