Say what? Honey Boo Boo’s older sister, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon, raised some eyebrows with a startling Facebook post where she casually used the n-word! HollywoodLife.com has the scoop.

Hoo-boy. It seems like the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo clan can’t help themselves from getting in trouble. The latest drama surrounds Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 15, the sister of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 9, who has found herself in hot water after posting a message on her Facebook page that included both the r-word and n-word!

Oh, Pumpkin! What were you thinking? Lauryn’s post came on April 20 when she posted a “Man Candy Monday” message dedicated to her friend, Josh Efrid, reports RadarOnline. During this loving shout-out, Lauryn dropped some language that made some people look twice!

Man Candy Monday: My Bestfriend the person I spend half of the day on the phone with having stupid conversations and being r*tarded. I’ve never laughed so hard at someone the way I do you. Josh you’re a good guy and I’m glad to call you my Bestfriend and glad to know you’ll always be by my side. Love you n**ga.

A spokesperson for the family told RadarOnline that the post was meant to be “a sign of affection to her friend,” and not intended to be derogatory. While it’s clear that Lauryn was showing Josh some love — and she wouldn’t be the first teenager to post something inappropriate on social media — the words she used are still considered really offensive!

Lauryn seemed to understand where she made her mistake, as she edited her post to take out the controversial language.

Good job, Lauryn! There are plenty of fantastic words out there to let your sweet boy know you think of him as your ‘Man Candy.’

Pumpkin’s language isn’t the only unhealthy behavior in the Honey Boo Boo household. During a February 2015 appearance on The Doctors, Alana was determined to be obese and blamed her mother, Mama June Shannon! The pair were confronted over their unhealthy eating habits and warned her that they needed to change their diet ASAP!
