Celeb beauty fact: Jessica Alba loves to change up her hair. A few months ago the actress went from blonde to brunette and back again in less than 24 hours. (It was for a role, but still.) Now, she’s just debuted a chic new cut that has editors buzzing — and contemplating a trip to the salon.
Alba hit the red carpet at Tuesday’s Stand Up to Cancer event in Culver City, Calif., sporting a fresh chop courtesy of celeb-loved hairstylist Jen Atkin. It looks like the star lost about 3 inches from her ends, chopping off most of her lighter ombré highlights. “Just Chopped! @jessicaalba serving us a fresh ‘Fashion-Bob’ #TexturedEnds #LongFront,” Atkin captioned the below photo on Instagram, showing off the style from every angle. From now on, we’re calling this new asymmetrical fashion-bob “The Alba.”

And the star was definitely loving her new do, posting her own photo on Insta with the mane master. She teamed the look with a deep bordeaux pout and soft smoky eye.
