A mere 10 days after she was spotted sporting some very controversial (and very short) bangs in Paris and just as we were starting to move to the “acceptance” stage, Beyoncé stepped out in London on Friday without the fringe. That’s right, internet, the bangs are no more (cue explosion of reactions on Twitter from the Beyhive) and we have a few theories about the Great Beyoncé Bang Disappearance of 2014.
-After testing out The Little Bang Theory, Beyoncé realized the look wasn’t right for her so she had a mini set of extensions added to the fringe.
-The bangs were clip-ins all along and were never meant to be a permanent change. (This is the most likely reason and what we’re putting our money on.)
-She simply stared in the mirror and whispered, “Grow, bangs, grow” and because she’s Beyoncé and has magical powers, her bangs obeyed and returned to full length. (Also highly likely.)
Regardless of the explanation behind the here-today-gone-tomorrow bangs, we knew it was only a matter of time before she changed her look. So, now all that’s left to do is wait for her next style switch-up. It’ll take quite a hairstyle to top this one. And if she wants to create the same kind of Twitter frenzy, we’d recommend a half shave.
