Toni Collette has always been a style chameleon, but we guarantee you’ve never seen her like this before. The actress has shaved off her long, blonde locks for a completely bald do (for a role, of course!), and she’s sharing the first look with PEOPLE.
Collette, 41, is in London filming Miss You Already, a relationship drama costarring Drew Barrymore. The two play childhood best friends who must cope when Collette’s character is diagnosed with breast cancer.
But despite the tearjerking subject matter, she’s all smiles in these exclusive behind-the-scenes photos. Check out Collette revealing her clean-shaven head in the makeup trailer in one snapshot and grinning (makeup-free!) with Barrymore in another.
The film is being directed by Catherine Hardwicke (who also directed Twilight) and is slated for release in fall 2015.
