The celeb set is always starting new trends — even when they walk down the aisle! From Elizabeth Taylor to Kaley Cuoco, see which brides decided to skip out on a white wedding and VOTE for which gown you love the most.
Trends, (and relationships!), make come and go…but there’s no denying the fact that the colorful wedding dress trend never really seems to go away — and we can thank so many stylish celeb brides for that! The most memorable fashionista to try the trend definitely has to be Sarah Jessica Parker , who walked down the aisle in a black gown — but SJP wasn’t the only one who stepped out in a bold hue when she said “I Do.”
Celebrity Pink Wedding Dresses:
When celebs decide to skip out on a traditional white wedding dress, pink seems to be the most popular color of choice — and I have to credit my girl Gwen Stefani as one of the main trendsetters of this look! In 2005, she wed Gavin Rossdale in Covent Garden in London dressed in a beautiful, pink ombre creation that was crafted by John Galliano for Dior. One of the most famous brides of 2013, Mrs. Justin Timberlake, (Jessica Biel ), tied the knot in a beautiful pink Giambattista Valli ball gown. And most recently we saw Kaley Cuoco say “I Do” after a whirlwind romance. She selected acustom-made, petal pink Vera Wang gown for the big day.
Celebrity Colored Wedding Dresses:
Elizabeth Taylor was one of the original stars to try the trend, and no one could forget when she famously wed Richard Burton, (which was her longest marriage), in 1964 in a bold, yellow chiffon creation as she wore wild flowers in her hair.
Since Liz did it, we’ve seen many brides tie the knot the second time around in a colorful dress — including Reese Witherspoon and Avril Lavigne !
