But when George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin went to plan the perfect music for their Sept. 27 wedding, they didn't go with an international superstar.
Instead, the couple tapped family friend Nora Sagal, the teenage daughter of Warner Bros. executive David Sagal. "[She] sang 'Always' during the ceremony," Clooney, 53, tells PEOPLE in the magazine's new cover story.
While the Irving Berlin standard – the same song Clooney's parents, Nick and Nina, danced to at their wedding – kicked off the intimate ceremony, Sagal had an important encore to perform later in the evening.

At the reception, the young singer took the stage once again, this time for a beautiful rendition of Cole Porter's "Why Shouldn't I?" for the couple's first dance. The lyrics are wittily appropriate: "Why shouldn't I take a chance when romance passes by … Every star out in far Hollywood seems to give it a try, so why shouldn't I?"
Sagal is quickly making a name for herself. Her unique voice first caught Clooney's attention while he was filming The Monuments Men. He was so impressed with her, he asked her to record Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas for the movie's soundtrack.
"[She] is just an insanely talented singer, and I had her record that at her school," Clooney told Collider in February. "She recorded that song and we just used it." Added the star: "It's spectacular. She's a real talent."
Nora also performed at The Metropolitan Club in New York for the film's after-party, where Bill Murray cheered her on, according to Variety.
