The plot thickens.

On Monday, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling worked her magic on Twitter, posting a cryptic message.

Naturally, fans have obsessively tried to work out the riddle (sorry, bosses of the world), and Rowling has continued to fan the flames.

The Tweet is a teaser about Newt Scamander, the magizoologist whose tale Rowling is unspooling in her screenplay for the upcoming Potter spin-off film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

"Newt Scamander's History of New York Fauna: One town, my tale. Warmer," she Tweeted on Tuesday, followed by another post: "#helpfulhint The solution is the first sentence of a synopsis of Newt's story. It isn't part of the script, but sets the scene."

If only Ravenclaw Luna Lovegood could lend her brilliantly askew mind to the task. (Her alter ego, Evanna Lynch, has made no secret about which fantastic beast she'd most like to discover.)

Barring an assist from Luna or a quick hit of Felix Felicis for luck, our sister site, TIME.com, has a handy anagram solver to help.

Do you have any guesses? (And is anyone getting any work done until this is solved?) Post your ideas in the comments below!
