When she was pregnant with Prince George, Princess Kate joked that she wanted a boy and that dad Prince William hoped for a girl.

This time around, Kate, 32, is keeping quiet about what she hopes will be her baby's gender.

Appearing at the third of three royal outings this week, Kate met a supporter of one of her charities, Action on Addiction, at a dinner Thursday night, where the expectant mom said she was "loving" being out for the evening.

As that supporter, Christopher Holder, told reporters, "There was talk about the baby, and I think someone asked the question 'What is it going to be?' but she didn't answer."

Holder also said, in light of Kate's difficult first trimester, "We're obviously all aware, there was a bit of nervousness that this may not happen with her being here. But we're so pleased that she's recovered and she's here. What she's done for Action on Addiction is superb in terms of putting it on the map."

At 13 weeks into her pregnancy, it is thought to be too early for Kate and William to find out the gender of their second child. And, if last time is any example, they likely won't do so.

Action and Addiction is the only organization in the U.K. to work across the fields of research, prevention, treatment, professional education and family support. Kate has been its patron since January 2012.

"During the time I have spent with clients and staff I have been privileged to see the phenomenal work which the charity undertakes to improve the lives of those affected by addiction," Kate wrote in the program for Thursday's event, held at the smart City of London Italian restaurant L'Anima.

"The stories of recovery are remarkable; and Action on Addiction's role in helping people achieve this is truly inspiring."
