Voting on Obsessed or Hot Mess is one of our favorite workday pastimes. And sometimes, we’ll even take it a step further and forward a photo around the office for some immediate snap judgment from the team. Once in a blue moon, though, we see a look so polarizing that we have to bring them to you for evaluation. Today is one of those days for three very different stars.
Taylor Swift‘s Eyelash-and-Shorts Ensemble: Taylor’s been on a worldwide style tour in service of her upcoming album 1989, mostly adhering to her current uniform of adorable crop tops and skirts. But she made a sharp style left in the L.A. airport on Tuesday in a pair of cuffed Everlane shorts worn with knee socks, Oxfords (of course) and a blouse meant to look like it’s blinking … right over her bra. We’re giving high marks for the sleek hair and cute affordable bag, but blinking boobs may be a look we’re not prepared to get behind. What do you think?

Camilla Belle’s See-Through Drop-Waist Dress: Camilla Belle is one of those stars who has made a career out of looking good at events. And normally, she executes her job flawlessly. Which is why we were slightly surprised to see her at the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund event wearing this particular Monique Lhuillier creation. The sheer shirtwaist attached to a poofy purple drop-waist skirt, combined with matchy Edie Parker and Jimmy Choo accessories and worn over an iridescent bandeau bra, was all a fashion-forward choice for the star, but was it fierce or a fail?
Nicky Hilton’s Spongebob Turtleneck: When we noticed a SpongeBob SquarePants trend brewing in March, we certainly didn’t expect to still be discussing it in October. But here we are, evaluating Nicky’s bold marigold turtleneck emblazoned with the face of the cartoon sea creature. She wisely kept the rest of her look low-key, but we don’t know if even the cutest Chanel bag can rescue this from going to the Great Pineapple Under the Sea where it belongs.
