A Ugandan gaming community called GamersNights was testing the Oculus Rift DK2 virtual reality headset recently, and they decided to show a nearby security guard what the next wave of video gaming is going to look like.
Apparently, it was a little too real for him, because his reaction goes from cartoonish shock and enjoyment to self-endangerment: He literally falls out of his chair, face-first onto the floor, because of the immersive experience of the technology, much to the amusement of the assembled crew.
Oculus Rift leapt into the public consciousness this year when Facebook plunked down $2 billion for the company. The technology, while still untested as a consumer product, is being touted as the Next Big Thing in social media.
Videos like this one make a pretty compelling argument for the device's capabilities, at least.
