Beyoncé Knowles beat out Kim Kardashian to become the top-searched person of 2013. Rihanna was a close third, while Madonna and Taylor Swift rounded out the top five. The results were mostly dominated by female musicians; the only men who made the list were Justin Bieber and President Barack Obama, at Nos. 6 and 10, respectively.

Rihanna and Miley Cyrus were also among the big winners here; their songs "Stay" and "We Can't Stop" charted at Nos. 3 and 8, respectively. Sadly, the Biebs, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Bey and Nicki Minaj failed to have songs place as highly as their personalities – none of them made the list.

Unsurprisingly, the top-searched movies of 2013 were all sequels: Iron Man 3, Fast and Furious 6, and Despicable Me 2 nabbed slots 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The movies it seemed like people were talking about the most, The Great Gatsby and Man of Steel, were Nos. 7 and 10, respectively.
