"I'm here to say thanks to the fans. Their love and support has been tremendous," Billy Ray said as he walked the red carpet at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium.
Miley, 21, had to postpone her U.S. and European tour dates after she was hospitalized April 15 for a recurrent, adverse reaction to medication. She told Ryan Seacrest in a radio interview that she had been taking a prescription for the flu that she didn't realize she was "really scary allergic to."
The social-media-loving star later posted Instagram photos of herself in her hospital room, noting she was sad to be missing her shows, including six U.S. dates that were rescheduled for August.
But Billy Ray said his girl, who was released last week, was on the mend. "She's doing much better, thank you for asking," Cyrus told reporters. "You know, right now we're just getting her back, healthy. She had an allergic reaction to antibiotics. She's feeling much, much better. The tour resumes this weekend, and Bangerz train is back on track.
He also provided an update on his daughter's extended "family."
In April, the singer got a new pup named Moonie, after mourning the loss of one of her dogs, Floyd. Her father, however, said Miley wouldn't be taking on any new furry friends.
"We have a couple," he said. "She'll be good."
