The 2014 Cannes International Film Festival is halfway through, but it feels like we've been (vicariously) traipsing the French sand for weeks.
Older stars like Viggo Mortensen and Sylvester Stallone – at Cannes to promote Lisandro Alonso's Jauja and The Expendables 3, respectively – share the carpet with up and comers like Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson. Lawrence, of course, is starring in the continuing Hunger Games trilogy, while Pattinson's newest is the post-apocalyptic tale The Rover.
Stars could be seen holding up "Bring Back Our Girls" signs on the carpet, a reference to the Nigerian terror cell Boko Haram's kidnapping of girls.
