Barbara Walters and David Letterman
As David Letterman and Barbara Walters both prepare to ride off into the sunset of their respective storied careers, they're surely indulging in a little introspection.
Letterman, in particular, divulged one aspect of his career he's less than proud of to Walters during her appearance on the Late Show Wednesday.
The pair were discussing Monica Lewinsky's recent article in Vanity Fair when Letterman spilled his guts. "I started to feel bad because … myself and other people with shows like this made relentless jokes … I feel bad about my role in helping push the humiliation to the point of suffocation."
Walters, for her part, didn't let Dave off the hook just because he apologized. "Good, then we can stop it," she responded.
You can watch the full clip of the interview below. Walters's last day on The View is May 16.
