Molly Ringwald is heading back to the '80s: The actress has been cast in the live-action reboot of Jem and the Holograms, according to the Hollywood Reporter .
Ringwald, 46, helped define the decade as a teen queen in such John Hughes movies as Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. Now, the Brat Packer will take on the era's famous cartoon, which follows the adventures of pop star Jem and her bandmates.
There's no word on what character Ringwald will play, but the Holograms girls are all ready to rock. Nashville's Aubrey Peeples snagged the titular role, and Juliette Lewis will also appear.
