Pictures of Rob arriving Saturday night at Los Angeles International Airport have surfaced, conclusively proving that – for whatever reason – Rob did not attend his sister's wedding.
A bodyguard for the family told PEOPLE that Rob wasn't present for the rehearsal dinner Thursday in Paris – he stayed in the hotel that night – because "all this wasn't his scene."
TMZ is reporting that Rob was "in tears" in the Florence Airport while trying to secure a flight home to L.A., following an unspecified inter-family argument.
Whatever the reason, it's 180 degrees from earlier in May, when a source told PEOPLE that Rob "wouldn't miss [the wedding] for the world," adding that, "Sure he's missed some family vacations too but he won't miss his sister's wedding."
