Scott Eastwood is taking one big step closer to A-list hunkdom.
The good-looking son of Clint Eastwood has been cast as the lead in the big screen adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' book The Longest Ride.
The 28-year-old shared the news on Instagram, posting a pic of himself holding the book along with the caption, "Great book. Thanks Fox for this amazing opportunity!!"
Eastwood follows in the footsteps of Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum, Liam Hemsworth Josh Duhamel and Zac Efron, who have all played the leads in movies based on Sparks's bestsellers.
The Longest Ride, which echoes Sparks' smash hit The Notebook, tells the story of an elderly widower whose life is entwined with the life of a sorority girl and the cowboy she loves.
