Just after Ari and Sean announced on April 20 that they’d called it quits on their relationship, the gorgeous singer flew to New Orleans to start working on the new Fox series Scream Queens, where she’s already bonded with co-stars like Lea Michele, 28, and Emma Roberts, 24. And HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that working on the show has helped her cope with the break up!

“Scream Queens came at the most perfect time ever and it’s helped immensely with Ariana’s emotions. She has been able to dive into something completely different and remove herself from the Big Sean relationship,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She is actually doing so much better than one would expect. She’s acting very strong right now!”

We’re so glad Ariana has something to take her mind off her personal problems, but unfortunately, Big Sean is a bit more emotional over the whole thing.

Big Sean & Ariana Grande: He Secretly Didn’t Want To Break Up

If fact, as HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY reported, the rapper actually didn’t even want to break up at all! Although it was he who eventually decided to end things, an insider told us that he expected a different reaction from his now-ex when he brought up ending things.

“Sean was expecting Ariana to put up a huge fuss and beg him to stay, but she did the opposite. He most likely would have stayed with her if she made an effort,” the source explained.

Another insider added, “Sean is taking it hard. He feels like he failed with another high profile relationship. He’s been emotional about it. It sucks because he was in love with her, but to him, her bulls— got in the way of their good times, so he’s really taking things hard.”

Poor Sean! We also reported that he’s even planning a diss song about Ariana now that they’re broken up, but we seriously hope he doesn’t take things that far!
