Rihanna’s Coachella Outfit: Wears Fur Coat…

Even though temperatures soared over 90 degrees during the first weekend of the Coachella music festival, (and most celebs stepped out in crop tops and shorts), RiRi totally stood out in a bright purple fur! What do you think of her statement look?

You don’t have to morph into a boho babe with a flower crown to totally take the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival by storm — and Rihanna , 26, is a perfect example of that! The songstress stayed true to her unique sense of style when she emerged in a purple, full-length fur coat, which she paired with pink boots as she was spotted at the Empire Polo Club for Coachella in Indio, California — and the look left us quite confused!

Rihanna’s Coachella Outfit — Fur Coat In The Desert:

We never know what to expect when it comes to Rihanna and her quirky sense of style — and that proved to be the case when she was spotted at Coachella in a full-length fur. At first we had to do a total double take — especially because it was a bright and sunny, 88-degree day. Sure, in the desert the temperature does drop at night, but the low for the evening was 63 degrees — not exactly ideal for breaking out your favorite fur.

RiRi loves fur — and this isn’t the first time we’ve seen her in a colorful fur coat! Additionally, fur is a major trend, both for Spring and Fall 2015 — but even though we saw fur coats come down the runway for spring doesn’t mean this was the right time to rock it.

If you do want to try fur for spring like RiRi, we recommend faux fur — it definitely won’t hold in heat like the real thing. A faux fur vest can be paired over a little dress or even separates, making it a great way to rock the trend in an appropriate yet seriously effortless way.

Although we’re not quite sure why the star even packed the coat for Coachella, she clearly couldn’t wait to show it off — she’s on such a purple kick these days! In fact, she paired it with a bold and bright purple lip. She added to her colorful ensemble with a pair of bright pink boots, which she wore undone.

While we love how Rihanna manages to pull off all of her head-turning looks, we just can’t get behind the whole fur-in-the-desert-heat theme. Not the most practical look, RiRi!
