What’s the buzz, Kellie?
The country starlet showed off her super-short ‘do on the CMAs red carpet in Nashville Thursday night, glamming up her look with an ice-blue Pamella Roland gown and Tacori diamond earrings.
“My sister is with child. Everybody wants to rub her belly,” Pickler told CMT when she arrived at the show. “And everybody wants to rub my head!”
Pickler shaved her head in early September to show support for a friend, Summer Holt Miller, who’d just been diagnosed with breast cancer.
“If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it,” she said at the time.
A recent update on Miller’s Caring Bridge website says she’s been dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy lately, but has also been “busy living and it feels great!” Pickler recently helped organize a breast cancer fundraiser in Nashville for her pal, and painted a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon with Summer’s name on it onto the side of her tour bus.
Thursday night, however, Pickler had lighter topics on her mind. When asked how she felt about people wanting to rub her hair, she replied, “I hope it brings somebody good luck.”
