"We talk during rehearsals and commercial breaks, and he's like, 'What time did you cut the cake?' " Kardashian tells PEOPLE of her The X Factor cohost. "I'm like, 'I don't know. I was so wasted at my wedding.' "
But there is one bit of sincere advice she has imparted to Lopez: leave the "hosting" to his on-camera duties.
"You and your partner should take a few minutes to yourselves and just watch the whole thing from the audience," Kardashian suggested. "[My husband] Lamar and I will now talk about those little moments, because you get pulled away from each other. You shouldn't spend your whole wedding not with each other."
Lopez, 39, will marry fiancée Courtney Mazza, 31, on Saturday as part of a televised two-hour wedding special.
"I'm just a sidekick in it. My fiancée is the star," Lopez says of the special, which is set to air on TLC Dec. 8. "I just want the wedding itself to be fun, just a blast, everybody to party and have fun and to go all night."
The wedding comes almost a year after the Extra and The X Factor host popped the question to Mazza during a Christmas vacation in 2010.
