The state of Georgia has seen its share of celebrity crime over the last several days.

Following Reese Witherspoon and hubby Jim Toth's arrest last week, Grammy-nominated country singer Billy Currington was detained on Thursday, according to TMZ.

The handsome singer – who looked directly into the camera for his mug shot, unlike Witherspoon – was arrested and booked on charges of making terroristic threats and abusing an elderly person.

The "Pretty Good at Drinking Beer" singer's bond was set at $27,000 and he is still in custody.

The arrest reportedly stems from an April 15 incident in which a 70-year-old tour boat captain went two fares past Currington's residence, which caused the musician to scream. When they got to a public dock, Currington allegedly began verbally abusing the captain and threatening his life.

"Unfortunately, I can't comment on thissituation as this is an ongoing legal matter," he Tweeted Tuesday. "It means a lot to me to have your support during this time."
