Danica Patrick's marriage has come to a screeching halt – her divorce has been finalized.

An Arizona judge signed a consent decree between the NASCAR champ and husband Paul Hospenthal on April 15 and it was filed two days later, ending the couple's seven-year union, ESPN reports.

Patrick, 31, had announced in November via her Facebook page that she was splitting from Hospenthal, saying the marriage was "irretrievably broken."

The couple originally met after Patrick saw Hospenthal, who is a physical therapist and personal trainer, for treatment of a hip injury. They wed in 2005 and had no children.

"He has been an important person and friend in my life and that's how we will remain moving forward," Patrick wrote in November about their amicable split.

According to court documents, the couple had a prenuptial agreement. Patrick had sought no alimony and also paid court costs, said ESPN, noting that mutual property acquired during the marriage would be divided at a later date.

Patrick, the first woman to claim the coveted Daytona 500 pole position this year (only her second season racing NASCAR after years as an IndyCar driver), announced in February she was dating fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse, 25.

"You can't tell your heart who to like and not like," she told Men's Health about their relationship. "It just happened."
