Stars Tweet Memories and Goodbyes to Paul Walker

12/01/2013 at 12:45 AM EST

Paul Walker, who died in a car crash on Saturday afternoon in Valencia, Calif., was best known for his roles in The Fast and the Furious films, but there were so many in Hollywood who knew him as more than the franchise's Brian O'Conner.

Friends and colleagues flooded Twitter with tributes to the father of one, who got his start as a child actor in commercials and went on to make appearances in shows like Charles in Charge, Who's the Boss and The Young and the Restless.

"My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real," his friend and costar Tyrese posted on Instagram.

"Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand," he continued. "My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real.... Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family... #HeartOfAnAngel13YrsFamilyForeverWeJustCelebreatedYour40thBirthday..... My God... My God... I can't believe I'm writing this."

Eminem - The Monster lyrics

[Hook: Rihanna]

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed

Get along with the voices inside of my head

You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath

And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy

[Verse 1: Eminem]

I wanted the fame, but not the cover of Newsweek

Oh well, guess beggars can't be choosey

Wanted to receive attention for my music

Wanted to be left alone in public excuse me

For wanting my cake, and eat it too, and wanting it both ways

Fame made me a balloon cause my ego inflated

When I blew; see, but it was confusing

Cause all I wanted to do is be the Bruce Lee of loose leaf

Abused ink, used it as a tool when I blew steam

(Ooh!) Hit the lottery, oh wee

But with what I gave up to get was bittersweet

It was like winning a used mink

Ironic cause I think I'm getting so huge I need a shrink

I'm beginning to lose sleep: one sheep, two sheep

Going cuckoo and cooky as Kool Keith

But I'm actually weirder than you think cause I'm...

[Hook: Rihanna]

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed

Get along with the voices inside of my head

You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath

And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy

[Bridge: Rihanna]

Well, that's nothing

[Verse 2: Eminem]

No, I ain't much of a poet but I know somebody

Once told me to seize the moment and don't squander it

Cause you never know when it all could be over tomorrow

So I keep conjuring, sometimes I wonder

Where these thoughts spawn from

(Yeah, ponder it, do you want this?

No wonder you losing your mind, the way it wanders)

Yodel-odel-ay-hee-hoo

I think you've been wandering off down yonder

And stumbled onto Jeff VanVonderen

Cause I need an interventionist to intervene between me and this monster

And save me from myself and all this conflict

Cause the very thing that I love's killing me and I can't conquer it

My OCD is conking me in the head

Keep knocking, nobody's home, I'm sleepwalking

I'm just relaying what the voice in my head is saying

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just friends with the...

[Hook: Rihanna]

I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed

You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath

And you think I'm crazy, yeah, you think I'm crazy

[Bridge: Rihanna]

Well, that's nothing

[Verse 3: Eminem]

Call me crazy, but I have this vision

One day that I walk amongst you a regular civilian

But until then drums get killed

And I'm coming straight at MCs, blood get spilled

And I take it back to the days that I get on a Dre track

Give every kid who got played at, pumped up feeling

And shit to say back to the kids who play 'em

I ain't here to save the fucking children

But if one kid out of a hundred million

Who are going through a struggle feels and then relates, that's great

It's payback, Russell Wilson falling way back in the draft

Turn nothing into something, still can make that, straw into gold chump

I will spin Rumpelstiltskin in a haystack

Maybe I need a straight jacket face facts, I am nuts for real

But I'm okay with that, it's nothing, I'm still friends with the...

It's a question a lot of parents of teens and preteens struggle with: how much access should their kids get to sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram?

President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, told Barbara Walters in a sit-down interview on ABC's 20/20 on Friday that while their oldest daughter, Malia, 15, has limited access to Facebook, her little sister, Sasha, 12, isn't old enough for that.

"I still am not a big believer in Facebook for young people ... particularly for them, because they're in the public eye," the first lady said. "Some of it's stuff they don't need to see and be a part of ... So we try to protect them from too much of the public voice."

Malia, who's a sophomore, is allowed to date now, her parents revealed, but they wouldn't say if she's seeing anyone special.

And as for Sasha – whose bold fashion choices are leading to Kate Middleton-like rushes on stores – the Obamas say their youngest will have a say in the family's post-White House life.

Malia will be in college, but Sasha will be a sophomore in high school when the president's second term ends in 2017, and her parents are weighing whether to stay in Washington D.C. so that she can finish school there, or move back home to Chicago.

"Sasha will have a big vote," the president admitted, acknowledging that his family has "made a lot of sacrifices on behalf of my cockamamie ideas, the running for office and things."

LeAnn Rimes: Eddie Cibrian Can 'Definitely Choose a Gift'

With the holiday season in full swing, LeAnn Rimes tells PEOPLE husband Eddie Cibrian is already scoping out the perfect Christmas gift.

"He just asked me, 'What do you want? Don't you have an idea?' " the singer, 31, told PEOPLE on Wednesday. "He's such a guy, but I really don't have an idea … I'm more into the giving than I am in the getting."

Although she's admittedly tough to shop for, it sounds like Cibrian, 40, hasn't managed to disappoint yet in their four years together.

"I used to not at all like surprises, but now I kind of enjoy it, especially because he seems to always get it right," says Rimes, who's performing at the 82nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday (airing nationally on Dec. 20). "He's definitely a guy's guy but he's got something else in there in him that definitely can choose a gift." Aside from gift-giving, it turns out the The Best Man Holiday actor has a couple other talents hidden up his sleeve. "He's really good at decorating, too, which is crazy. He's going to kill me for saying that, but he really is."

This year, the couple plan to spend Christmas at home with Cibrian's two sons (with ex-wife Brandi Glanville) – Mason, 10, and Jake, 6, – and just enjoy some downtime before heading to Aspen for the new year.

"It's so nice to be at home in pajamas for most of the day," she says. "Christmas Eve we usually open one gift and … this year we'll have [the boys] Christmas afternoon. It's complete chaos in our house. I end up finding paper and ribbons for weeks [because] they get pretty excited."

While the entertainer is passing along some holiday traditions she grew up with to her stepsons ("My godmother and godfather … were big into decorating and gifts," she says), she's also creating some new ones with her family.

"I love the song 'I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.' Gayla Peevey is the original singer. She sounds like she's 5 and it's so cute," she says. "Jake knows every word to the whole song, so that seems to be our family song!"

How Eduardo Garcia Became a Bionic Chef

11/30/2013 at 04:00 PM EST

It was a motionless baby bear that caught Eduardo Garcia's attention during a hike in the Montana backcountry in 2011. Curious, Garcia nudged the animal with his knife and realized too late that the bear was covering a live power line that carried 2,400 volts.

"There is no way to describe the warm symphony of noise that fills your body when being electrocuted," he says. "The next thing I remember was looking down at my left hand and seeing a charred mess."

The classically trained chef – luckily a right-handed one – then spent 48 days recovering in a burn trauma unit, wondering what was next for his career.

"I was scared, but I was set on learning how to survive," says Garcia, 32, who traveled the world as a personal chef on private yachts before opening a Mexican food company in Bozeman, Mont. "The optimistic part of me was saying, 'You can do it.' "

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West don't do anything small – even while shopping on Black Friday.

The twosome hit Miami's posh boutique The Webster on Collins Avenue and closed down the store for a private shopping spree. Kardashian wore a flouncy black-and-white dress and high heels for the occasion, while West went more low-key in a ripped T-shirt and jeans.

The couple, who got engaged on Oct. 21, created quite the scene while in the sunny city. "People on the street were going crazy to get a glimpse of them," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They were lined up around the block."

Earlier, Kardashian had posted Instagram photos of her and West celebrating Thanksgiving in Miami – the soon-to-be-newlyweds were in town for the rapper's concert at American Airlines Arena.

The Florida trip may not have been all play, though: Kardashian is opening a Dash boutique just a few blocks away, and West is set to make an appearance next week at Art Basel in Miami.

Sharon Osbourne's Plastic Surgery Confession: I Had My Vagina Tightened

Sharon Osbourne on The Graham Norton Show

Sharon Osbourne has been very open about her multiple plastic surgery procedures.

When asked on The Graham Norton Show on Friday about the work she's had done, she admitted she's had "a lot."

But when British TV host Norton asked her which one hurt the most, he got an answer he wasn't expecting.

"Having my vagina tightened," the 61-year-old admitted. "It was just excruciating."

When fellow guest Colin Farrell, who was sitting next to the mother of three, asked what it entailed, Osbourne hugged him and said, "I'll show you later."

The Talk cohost also discussed her 31-year marriage to Ozzy Osbourne, 64, and was candid about their problems earlier this year after the rehabbed rocker relapsed with drugs and drinking.

Osbourne sold all of her husband's cars when she learned he'd been drinking and driving, but he still didn't stop drinking, so she moved out. "[It was] the hardest thing I ever had to do … but I knew if I stayed it would have carried on."

Now that Ozzy's in a 12-step program, they have reunited.

"He says we're like bread and butter," his wife admitted. "We fit together so perfectly, we're as one. We're a team."

A six-month-old pit bull that was buried under a pile of rubble for more than a week after a tornado ripped through a central Illinois has been coaxed to freedom with hot dogs and reunited with his owner.

Jacob Montgomery, a member of the Illinois National Guard, was separated from the dog, Dexter, when the Nov. 17 tornado destroyed his third-floor apartment in Washington, Ill. Montgomery combed through the wreckage multiple times but turned up no sign of Dexter.

Nine days after the storm, a neighbor who was looking for his cat, also missing, with the help of a group called Rescuing Animals in Need sent Montgomery a Facebook message to tell him Dexter had been found partially buried in debris where the apartment building used to stand.

"He said, 'I've got your dog right here,'" Montgomery recalled in a statement released by the Illinois National Guard. "As soon as Dexter saw me, his tail started going."

The pooch was in relatively good shape.

"The vet said he has no real injuries – just a few scrapes and cuts," said Montgomery, who got Dexter as a puppy to keep him company when he moved from Champaign, Ill. "He was malnourished, but he's going to be fine."

The Washington tornado was part of a band of heavy storms that brought rain, high winds and a rash of twisters to Illinois, and left seven people dead in its wake.

Montgomery has been a military police officer with the Illinois Army National Guard for more than five years and is trained to respond to emergencies. But he says he's never been the victim of such a disaster.

"All I had in my apartment is gone, but my dog was all I really had to worry about," he said.

Montgomery is staying with a friend in nearby Peoria, Ill., until he can find a new home.

Girls Season 3 Poster Revealed: 'Happily Whatever After'

The poster for Girls season 3

HBO

Well, that looks like it was one hell of a party.

The season 3 poster for HBO's hit Girls shows Hannah (Lena Dunham) and her friends at the end of what looks to have been a big night – with beer bottles and pizza boxes strewn on the floor.

The tagline is "Happily Whatever After," but a look at the new season hints that maybe the girls are finally getting it together – or not.

When the new season premieres on Jan. 12 in with back-to-back episodes, we see Marnie (Allison Williams) saying: "I am okay. I may not seem okay or be okay now, but I am, like, okay."

Seems like the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Home Alone, Your Favorite Christmas Movie, Finally Gets an Honest Trailer

11/30/2013 at 01:45 PM EST

Forget the turkey and the tree for a minute and revel in the fact that Home Alone season is upon us.

The John Hughes Christmas classic tells the story of Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), a little boy who is forced to fend for himself when his family leaves on vacation. When two burglars attempt a break-in, Kevin has no choice but to protect his home from the determined thieves.

And now the Screen Junkies, the gimlet-eyed folks behind Honest Trailers who have previously tackled films like Man of Steel and World War Z , have turned their attention to the seasonal hallmark.

The so-called Honest Trailer casts the film in a cold light, dubbing it "one part Ferris Bueller and one part Saw." It's a brutal, but apt description, especially when you see the montage of dangerous, and occasionally disfiguring, traps that Kevin sets out for the robbers played by Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci, who "sounds like Joe Pesci trying not to curse in a PG movie."

Elizabeth Banks Explains a Recent Mommy Meltdown

11/30/2013 at 12:00 PM EST

The actress, who admits she curses "like a sailor" and gets a little crafty at home, chatted with PEOPLE this week about "one last thing" ...

Last time I was moved to tears

I was driving my [2-year-old] son Felix to school in the morning and singing Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten,” and I burst into tears singing it to him. I blame PMS. There is no reason to be that emotional about it.

Last time I cursed

Oh, I curse like a sailor. My kids love this Mumford & Sons song “Little Lion Man,” and it has the F-word. We just play it like it’s no big deal. We call them grown-up words, and Mommy uses a lot of them!

Last home project

I personally painted the ceiling of my guest bathroom a bright blue. It’s this cute little bathroom with woods wallpaper, so I thought it needed a nice sky.

Last injury

I get mystery bruises all the time. Usually after I’ve been out drinking. Bill Murray referred to them as badges of honor, and that’s a nice way to think of it.

Last reality TV I watched

The Voice! I’m so obsessed. I love [contestant] Caroline Pennell, and Cee Lo Green has the most interesting team. I think Team Blake [Shelton] is in trouble this year!

Garth Brooks Calls Wife Trisha Yearwood the 'Real Deal'

Both on- and offstage, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are in perfect harmony.

Brooks, 51, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday to chat about his wife of eight years, with whom he recorded a remake of "After the Fire Is Gone" – one of a handful of songs featured on his new box set, which just hit stores.

During the sit-down, the country crooner recounted first meeting Yearwood back in 1987 – he was already married to his college love Sandy Mahl then – and according to Brooks, his connection with Yearwood was immediate.

"It's strange because I felt that feeling like when you just meet your wife, but I've been married for 13 months," Brooks recalls of his confusion, noting that Yearwood, 49, was "somebody I that always enjoyed being around and we had a lot more in common than I ever dreamed we did."

Brooks and Mahl divorced in 2000, and he and Yearwood – who had been married twice – eventually began seeing each other before marrying in 2005.

"We'd known each other music-wise, but we got to see each other as people," he says of their blossoming romance. "She's the real deal."

Adds Brooks: "I never knew it could be like this. I never knew that everyday you can wake up and feel like this."

Nowadays, Brooks jokes that his wife's successful career and hyper-busy schedule allows him to bask in a life of luxe leisure.

"I'm part of the working wives club," he cracked. "I do, I lay out at the pool with the other husbands."

He may not be lounging around forever: Yearwood has hinted that she'd be keen on doing a joint tour with her hubby. In an interview with CBS This Morning last August, she said that once their youngest child graduates from high school, she and Brooks plan to hit the road.

"It'll be a whole different ball game, you know, as man and wife to go do this together," she said. "So I'm looking forward to it."

Music to fans' ears, no doubt.

Octavia Spencer Is 'Fine' with Her Decision to Not Have Children

11/30/2013 at 11:30 AM EST

While Hollywood is in the midst of a baby boom, Octavia Spencer is one actress who doesn't have little ones on the brain.

"I should be married and have 19 kids," the Fruitvale Station star, 43, said Thursday during a roundtable discussion for The Hollywood Reporter's actresses issue. "And now I'm thinking my eggs are dying on the shelf. They're going to go past their expiration date. But it's what I chose, so I'm fine with that decision."

While it seems to be clear that starting a family will not interfere with Spencer's career, Julia Roberts, on the other hand – who was also part of the discussion – decided to take a break from almost two decades of acting when she had her twins.

"I had been working for 18 years when I had Hazel and Finn almost nine years ago," Roberts, 46, who is also mom to 6-year-old son Henry, said. "So I felt like I earned that time in my house and in my kitchen and in bed all day with these two little people. I felt that was my present to myself."

Roberts, who called herself "fortunate" to have built up such a resume before starting a family, added, "I worked hard, and I was very devoted to that, and then I earned this jewel box of a life that I felt completely entitled to. It still is really important, but it has made me take more things into consideration."

Josh Harding, NHL Star Goalie, Battles Multiple Sclerosis

11/30/2013 at 11:00 AM EST

Josh Harding peers through the metal cage of his facemask during a recent morning practice as pucks fly at him like bullets, slamming against his thick mitts and leg pads while he moves with lightning-fast precision, trying to block each shot.

A few hours later back at his home outside of St. Paul, Minn., a less intimidating-looking Harding sips a soda and quietly recounts that awful moment in October 2012 when his life was turned upside down after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. "It was scary," he says softly. "I didn’t know if I could continue playing hockey or if I'd be in a wheelchair."

The past year has been a bumpy one for the 29-year-old star goaltender for the Minnesota Wild, who has battled his way back onto the ice after sitting out a portion of last season while doctors struggled to fine-tune his medications. This season, however, Harding has emerged as one of the top goalies in the NHL. Says Wild head coach Mike Yeo: "He's playing the best hockey of his career."

Not long after learning he had MS, which strikes women at three times the rate of men, Harding realized how fortunate he was to have access to medications and treatments. So he launched his Harding's Hope foundation (hardingshope.org), aimed at helping those faced with the decision of whether to “pay for their meds or put food” on the table.

"I'm going to do whatever it takes to come out on top of this," says Harding. "I don't want MS to define me."

Sympathy is what readers expressed for Malin Akerman, whose marriage to Roberto Zincone has crumbled. A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple, who wed in 2007, are getting divorced – and the news comes just months after they welcomed their first child, son Sebastian.

LOL

Readers couldn't help but chuckle after watching Franco and Rogen's spot-on parody of "Bound 2," the music video that put West and a topless Kardashian's love on display for the world to see. Staying true to its original format, in "Bound 3 (Vague)" Franco and Rogen even share some lip-lock action to imitate the engaged duo.

Darnaa - Runaway lyrics

1st Verse

Forgive me I'm sorry,

But I really can't stay now I gotta leave.

I go to bed, full of pain,

Closed eyes, sunrise and I feel the same.

Everybody touched me, No you never helped me.

Always seemed to look the other way.

Made me a slave, been waiting for that day,

That I can finally get away.

CHORUS (Twice)

Right now, might be the only time

If I'm really gonna make my move.

Dip out the back door.

But I still don't know what to do.

Back up the stairs, back into my bed,

Looks like a summer day,

I think I'm gonna run away, run away,

Run away from you.

2nd Verse

Gotta runaway, Gotta get away,

Gotta runaway, gotta get away.

No where to go is how I feel.

Don't even act surprise cause you know the deal.

You know it's real, It's not a game.

And Imma air it all out cause I'm not ashamed.

Everybody touched me, did you ever love me,

Always seemed to look the other way.

Made me a slave, been waiting for the day,

That I can finally get away.

REPEAT CHORUS (Twice)

I hate this life.

Run away, run away, run away now

(Repeat seven times)

REPEAT CHORUS (Twice)

Mike Will Made It - Faded lyrics

Yeah, yeah

I feel you

They underestimate me

Future Hendrix

Stunna man what to do now?

Yeah, yeah, yeah

Mike Will Made It

Even I look at my diamonds

Sometimes I kiss it

That's my ex, my ex, and no Mrs.

The way she acting right now

I should have pimped up

Throwing shots of liquour on my liver my nigga

Even my niggas know I love for my niggas

And ain't no love for you hoes, you all crazy

And we ain't never gon' fall

We stay faded

Yeah, we stay faded

Ain't no water running down my eyes

Ain't no love for the other side

The way these diamonds twinkle all in your eye ball

I know I should have been a crown doll by law

And most of these faded niggas

They don't feel love

I'm rasing the stakes, nigga

And I'm well off

I'm counting that cake

Trimming my nails off

Anytime 'cause it's hard

I move the builds off

And we know we whipping the lanes

I mean that new spirit

All you niggas some lame

Suffer a new fur

Congratulations to niggas like me dog

Get money, get money and all see yo

I don't see flaw, I don't see flaw

Even I look at my diamonds

Sometimes I kiss it

That's my ex, my ex, and no Mrs.

The way she acting right now

I should have pimped up

Throwing shots of liquour on my liver my nigga

Even my niggas know I love for my niggas

And ain't no love for you hoes, you all crazy

And we ain't never gon' fall

We stay faded

Yeah, we stay faded

You waking up when you're living your dreams nigga

I'm with crazy money with this New Orleans nigga

And only God can judge a nigga holding on the hammer

I could afford it from the start

And put her on the camera

I kept it hustling with you bitch

Kept it real hustler

You fucked it with the guarded nigga

So you will suffer

Helicopter flying over your head

We chop it up

We live the life that need

I ride a car that you never can drive

Before the bed bitches money can buy

Ain't love lost, ain't no love gained

This is young real nigga

Real pain

Even I look at my diamonds

Sometimes I kiss it

That's my ex, my ex, and no Mrs.

The way she acting right now

I should have pimped up

Throwing shots of liquour on my liver my nigga

Even my niggas know I love for my niggas

And ain't no love for you hoes, you all crazy

And we ain't never gon' fall

We stay faded

Yeah, we stay faded

Prince George's Special Gift from Kenyan Tribal Elders: Get All the Details

Prince George's Special Gift from Kenyan Tribal Elders: Get All the Details

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge arrive at the Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace with Prince George

John Stillwell/Getyy

What do you give a child who will one day inherit castles and palaces?

Little Prince George has been honored with a deeply significant and special present: a fattened black bull and goat.

The gift, from the Samburu community in Kenya, is especially poignant for his parents, Prince William and Kate, as the bull will now grow up in Lewa, where they enjoyed a safari holiday at the time of their engagement in 2010.

A palace source tells PEOPLE that discussions have taken place with local cultural leaders and the bull will be used to start a royal herd. Four heifers will go with the bull, and the Northern Rangelands Trust – an organization that provides support to community conservancies – has agreed to keep this nucleus herd on Lewa.

William, 31, has sent the Kenyan community a touching letter of thanks. Written partly in Swahili, the note states that he and Kate, 31, could "not be more grateful." William said he hopes that 4-month-old George will see the herd someday.

The gift was bequeathed at a Samburu ceremony on Nov. 21 in Wamba, where traditional blessings were made by elders and special dances were performed by women who celebrate the birth of a newborn child. The British high commissioner, Dr. Christian Turner, traveled to Wamba on William and Kate's behalf to witness the ceremony.

The message from William to the Samburu community says:

"Kwa niaba ya kijana wetu, George, Catherine na Mimi ningependa kuwashukuru nyote sana sana kwa kujitolea kwenu, ukarimu wenu na pia kwa zawadi zenu. [On behalf of our son George, Catherine and I would like to thank you all so very much for the extraordinary honour and generosity of your gifts.]

"I remember my time with you, the Samburu, with immense happiness and I could not be more grateful to you all for this kindness. It brings me great pride and joy to know that George's 'pension' will be herded on a land that we love and care deeply for. We only hope that one day, he will be able to come and see them for himself.

"Please accept our immense and deep thanks on this special occasion.

Asante."

Who knew they were friends?

Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Aniston celebrated Thanksgiving together.

Aleen Keshishian, who is Aniston's manager, posted a pic with the pair on Instagram on Thursday.

Aniston, 44, and Sheeran, 22, have at least one other friend in common – on Nov. 19 he posted a pic with Jen's BFF and former Friends costar Courteney Cox.

"My friend Courteney is nominated for a People's Choice Award for favorite cable tv actress," he wrote. "She's never won one before and she lets me [live] in her beach house so how's about we all vote for her and win her the damn thang eh?"

Cox, 49, responded with "You sweet thing!"

But what about Sheeran's best friend Taylor Swift? She was half a world away, on stage in Auckland, New Zealand.
