And that ear belonged to Jimmy Fallon.
In a queasy, brazen display of do-it-yourself chutzpah, the actor pierced the talk-show host's ear … right in front of a live audience on Friday's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
But it was Fallon's alternately petrified, amused and shrieking reaction that stole the show.
Here's how it all went down.
Ford – who sports a pierced ear of his own – stepped out onstage wearing a white doctor's lab coat, prompting Fallon to ask: "What's the worst that could happen to me? Could I get an infection?"
"Nah – you could bleed to death," deadpanned the characteristically droll actor, now starring in Ender's Game.
What followed was a sidesplitting play-by-play as Ford, 71, prepped Fallon, 39, for the procedure – and the talk-show host squirmed and squealed throughout.
"What a puss," Ford quipped at one point.
Afterward, Fallon proudly showed off the final result on his Instagram page, posting a photo of him wearing a red feather earring. (Ford himself donned a matching feather earring at the end of the segment.)
"Harrison Ford pierced my ear on our show tonight," Fallon captioned the snapshot, adding the hashtag: "#ThereWillBeBlood."
And a bloody good time it was.
