Frankie Ballard's ACM Awards suit has been a long time in the making.

Ballard has been talking about buying a rhinestone Manuel suit since at least January, and it looks like his dream finally came true.

In a Jan. 26 interview with Country Weekly, Ballard said he had one goal should his song "Helluva Life" hit No. 1. "I want to buy a full-on Manuel suit. Manuel is one of the most legendary Nudie suits designers ... I'm such a huge fan of that era in country music with the whole rhinestone thing, so I want to get a full-on Manuel suit."

"And then I'm going to wear it to an awards show! They're not cheap ... but I'll have No. 1 money!"

He didn't let the dream go, either. In a March 27 interview with CBS affiliate KFROG (after "Helluva Life" hit No. 1), Ballard told the station that his first big purchase was – you guessed it – a Manuel suit.

And unlike most country songs, this story has a happy ending:
