A search warrant affidavit, in which he's called "Suspect Bieber," alleges the pop star is captured on a security camera heading toward the neighbor's house last January, then returning to his own driveway rejoicing with his pals.
"He was approached by the group of males, some of whom Suspect Bieber is observed 'high-fiving,'" writes Los Angeles County Sheriff's Detective Ginni Alvarez in the affidavit. "Suspect Bieber and the other males appeared to be laughing and celebrating."
Bieber, 20, was not apparently spotted by the surveillance camera actually hurling eggs – or even holding any – that night in his gated community in Calabasas, about 30 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
Made public Friday, the affidavit was filed in March to request a search of Bieber's Instagram account for evidence to match his sweatshirt-and-baseball-cap ensemble described by the neighbor with the surveillance footage.
The case could be treated as a felony if damage is determined to be more than $400. Bieber also faces a DUI arrest and assault charges that have prompted a petition to repeal the Canadian singer's green card, and was detained for several house Thursday at LAX by U.S. Customs.
