Something about motherhood just makes Jennifer Love Hewitt want to change her hair. Just before welcoming daughter Autumn in November, she cut some bangs — and now four months later, she’s debuted a brand new blonde do on The Ellen DeGeneres Show .
The lighter locks are a big switch for the new mom, who has been rocking shoulder-length brunette hair in various shades of sun-kissed for a few years now. This is the lightest blonde we can remember her being in ages — a true golden shade with a slightly darker underlayer. She also has grown out the bangs into face-framing layers and complemented the Cali girl look with bronzed makeup and glossy lips.

Hewitt raved about how much fun she’s having parenting the “fantastic” Autumn, whom she says loves to dance. But no matter how easy any baby is, we still can’t imagine opting for a more high-maintenance hairdo with a newborn at home. We suppose that’s just one more way we differ from the stars!
