After the divorce that she once hoped would be "amicable" instead turned angry, Frankel, 42, became locked in a battle with her ex over her fortune, at the very same time she was launching her new syndicated talk show, Bethenny , which premiered this week.
"You just just have to say we're going to get to the other side," she says in a revealing interview in this week's PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday. "I'm not going to be afraid and I'm not going to get more than I can handle."
Despite the divorce drama, Frankel is focusing on her new show and her life as a single mom to Brynn, 3. A choice that's definitely celibate.
"Men aren't a priority right now – at all," she says. And that's not expected to change anytime soon. "Since I'm emotionally unavailable," she says, "it may be a very chilly winter."
