Kanye West faces up to a year in jail after being charged for allegedly attacking a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport.
The rapper was charged Friday with criminal battery and attempted grand theft, both misdemeanors with maximum penalties of six months each, says City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan.
The July 19 scuffle with videographer Daniel Ramos, which was caught on camera, came shortly after West had welcomed daughter North with Kim Kardashian in June.
West quickly left the scene, paramedics were called and Ramos was transported to a local hospital. His lawyer, Gloria Allred, tells TMZ her client was injured.
