From the looks of this photo, the answer is ... maybe?
The reality star and One Direction band member enjoyed a low-key dinner at Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood on Wednesday night and were photographed leaving together in Styles's car.
"They're just friends," says a source.
Jenner, 18, posted on Twitter that she was single, but was linked to rapper Young Jinsu as recently as last month.
"They're still seeing each other and have been hanging out. He went to Magic Mountain with her whole family for her birthday,” says a source close to the rapper.
Meanwhile Styles, 19, split from Taylor Swift at the beginning of this year and was linked to Kimberly Stewart this spring.
The duo's meal comes during a turbulent time for Kendall and younger sister Kylie, who have been battling reports of partying and diva-like behavior this fall.
Earlier this month, Kendall defended their choices, explaining that growing up in the media glare is no easy feat.
"We're growing up and no one seems to want to accept it, but whatever," Kendall told PEOPLE.
