Though Aldean first apologized for the incident, stating that he "screwed up" and was working on his marriage, the couple, married for 12 years, split in 2013.
After news of Aldean and Kerr's dating relationship broke in March, he faced a firestorm of criticism from fans, prompting Aldean to address the situation on social media.
"So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but I am a better person because of it, and wouldn't change a thing," he wrote.
"I'm happier than I have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. It's time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon."
More recently, the father of two admitted he had no regrets about the situation, telling Billboard "It has been two years of this s--- – get over it, already!"
On Wednesday, Kerr posted a picture from her trip to the zoo on Instagram. There was no ring visible, but her caption did hint at her happy news.
"My man did it again," she wrote. "Today was amazing #sandiegozoo #myeverything."
