Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney

The afternoon after their romantic wedding in Venice, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin hopped in a water taxi to reunite with their guests and continue the weekend-long celebration.
Heading from the Aman Canal Grande hotel, the 16th-century palazzo where they wed and spent the night, the newlyweds boated to the Belmond Hotel Cipriani for brunch with their guests.
Clooney and Alamuddin stepped out of the Aman at about 2:50 p.m. Venice time, with Alamuddin, 36, in a short white lace dress with pink flowers that glistened in the sun and her new husband in a grey suit with a crisp white shirt. But their new accessories stole the show: The two wore wedding bands on their left ring fingers, while Alamuddin's engagement ring shimmered on her right hand (as is tradition in Europe).

With choppy water on the Grand Canal, Clooney, 53, wrapped his arm around his wife's waist, and they whispered to each other and waved to throngs of fans who came out to congratulate them, lining the walkways and bridges and even hanging from rooftops. The commotion led to a few fender-benders in the canal, with one boat driver bumping into the side of a ferry.
About 15 minutes later, the couple arrived at the Cipriani, where they reunited with guests – the last of whom left the wedding celebration at 5 a.m. Time to fuel up for the next party!
